I can get widgets which get me data fast from my scans. We originally only scanned once a month, but with improvements to the scanners we now scan our environment weekly and I can get that data directly to the teams needed to remediation. We use SNOW and it integrates ok. The main issues is we want to filter vulnerabilities and then have it open a single ticket. Pricing is higher than I would like, but it also is a premium product. Onboarding for our organization took some time, but we were large overall. We have been able to refine this over time. I am not sure what AI / Intelligence specific data they are using but we have very few false positives, and we can filter reports quickly. We still prefer manual remediation, however Qualys utilizes TruRisk AI and Agentic AI (specifically Agent Nova and Agent Val) across its platform to automate vulnerability management. These tools automatically identify, prioritize, and remediate critical risks, shifting from traditional scanning. **What do you dislike about Qualys VM?** It isn't cheap. if your network is highly complex, you really need to do extensive changes to allow the scanners to access the devices you want to see. **What problems is Qualys VM solving and how is that benefiting you?** With out visibility we really had no idea what vulnerabilities were outstanding in our environment. Qualys filled that gap. ### 2. Depending upon your license, you can manage asset vulnerabilities throughout the complete vulnerability lifecycle. Asset View provides hardware and software asset management capabilities (agents are installed on endpoints, network ranges are scanned, passive sensors are installed on network segments to detect new assets as they connect. The product suite as a whole is quite comprehensive. **What do you dislike about Qualys VM?** Because a lot of modules need to be licensed to provide comprehensive management, licensing costs can build up and licensing the entire product suite can become expensive. In order to get the full benefit of the product, and to most effectively streamline vulnerability management operations, it is helpful to have the entire product suite at your disposal. Licensing, say, just the vulnerability management module without the patching module requires that technicians use the Qualys tool to detect vulnerabilities and a separate tool to remediate. **Recommendations to others considering Qualys VM:** Allocate time for tranining and work closely with your technical account manager (TAM). We've found our TAM to be an invaluable resource who guided us through just about every aspect of the implementation. **What problems is Qualys VM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to implementing qualys, our vulnerability management had been siloed and solely managed via point-in-time scans by third party vendors. This product suite allows us to continuously manage vulnerabilities. We are using this product in a multi-site geographically separated environment in which technicians cannot always be present.
