Robust set of tools (I haven't encountered anything I can do in ArcGIS that I can't do in QGIS—and in my experience, Q crashes less!), great online community, runs on my Mac, oh and it's free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QGIS?

I like that it's free, open software unlike ArcGIS. It has most features or maybe all as ArcGIS but also allows you to add plugins and lets you modify source code. It has tons of plugins that you could add and perform analysis. QGIS can perform interpolation or do math in multiple ways, it has GRASS Commands, geoalgorithms, SAGA. Though my use with QGIS is limited to certain areas, I can say QGIS can be used in different ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
