Building extensive reports using multiple Qlik apps is just so easy. **What do you dislike about Qalyptus?** A year ago it was the fact that they haven't had a solution for Qlik Saas. However, this changed in Oct 2022 with the release of Qalyptus for Qlik Saas. Now you can use Qalyptus for On-Prem and Qlik Saas. **What problems is Qalyptus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Qalyptus is like a robot that takes data and visualizations from Qlik Apps, puts it in predefined templates, and distributes it to hundreds of users automattically. Whether you are using e-mail, folders, cloud storage or the Hub - It's all possible using Qalyptus. Adding conditions to tasks can allow the "bot" (Qalyptus) to check the data regularly and only distribute them when a condition is met. Top Management prefers to have HTML embedded in the mail rather than open a PDF or PowerPoint. ### 6. If you wish, you can ensure that each report intended for the person shows only the data pertaining to him. Basically, you can create a single report for each salesperson where the salesperson will only see his customers. **What do you dislike about Qalyptus?** In the scheduling configuration it is possible to obtain the same results at several levels. For example, you can apply the data filter at the beginning of the process or at the end. This can create confusion about the final result. **What problems is Qalyptus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Very often, users who use business intelligence reports only need to view the data and not explore it. For this type of user, a Qlik license is wasted. I find the management of filters/user linked to the individual Qlik application and independent from the characteristics of registered users very useful and convenient. **What do you dislike about Qalyptus?** The OnPremise version sometimes has steps that are not very intuitive. The process of "cycling through the values of a field" does not always allow you to achieve what you want. The graphical features of Qlik tables are not inherited by the Excel report, so sometimes it is not possible to format the tables correctly. It is not possible to create Excel Pivot tables based on dynamic data from a Qlik table. **What problems is Qalyptus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Distribution of reports to a large number of people, by saving files in shared folders or by sending emails to all users who do not have a Qlik license. ### 10. The filter functionality also proved to be very practical for generating daily, weekly, and monthly reports. **What do you dislike about Qalyptus?** Although Qalyptus is an excellent tool for generating and distributing reports, a drawback arises when there are tasks that fail; they require a manual restart. Very few bugs found even in the very first version. **What problems is Qalyptus solving and how is that benefiting you?** The first need was to overcome the limitations of the reporting offered by Qlik (through Application Automation), provide more aesthetically appealing reports, and reach more users at a cost that is bearable even by small companies. ### 12. You cannot create new charts that exists only within the report. This might actually be an advantage, when you want to have the maximum control over what gets sent **What problems is Qalyptus solving and how is that benefiting you?** Qlik Sense and QlikView have very poor, completely absent or highly expensive reporting functionality, so you cannot send scheduled pdf/excel report to external users.
