## About Qadar AI Shield
Qadar AI Shield is an AI security and governance platform that gives organizations visibility into and control over how their employees use AI tools. As generative AI adoption outpaces most security programs, workers routinely paste source code, customer records, financial data, and confidential documents into consumer chatbots and AI browser extensions — a phenomenon known as shadow AI. Qadar AI Shield is built to surface that activity and bring it under policy, especially for companies that do not have a dedicated security team. The platform discovers which AI applications are actually in use across the organization — tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and Microsoft Copilot — in the browser (Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on Windows, macOS, and Linux) and, through a native agent, on macOS. It detects when sensitive data such as personal data (PII), financial information, source code, or credentials is entered into an AI tool, and records each interaction as an auditable event. Security and compliance teams define usage policies per AI tool and data type, then choose how each policy is enforced — from silent monitoring to warning the user, blocking an action, or restricting access to a tool entirely. Because enforcement happens in real time at the point of use, sensitive data can be kept out of unsanctioned AI services without banning AI outright or treating employees as adversaries. Qadar AI Shield includes a browser extension (Shield Web), a central administration console (Shield Control), and a macOS desktop agent (Shield Desktop). Built-in user consent controls and a complete audit trail help organizations demonstrate compliance with emerging regulations and standards, including the EU AI Act, the GDPR, ISO/IEC 42001, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
