"Super Cost-Efficient and Secure AWS Billing Management -- Saving lots of money thanks to PUMP.co !!"
What do you like best about Pump?

I use Pump to save money on my AWS bills, and it has been incredibly effective in helping us save a lot financially. I appreciate how it automates the management of reserved instances, which streamlines processes and reduces manual oversight. Additionally, the cost savings have been impactful to our organization, enhancing our budget efficiency. I particularly enjoy the Security module, which conducts neat assessments of our AWS security posture into different applicable frameworks such as SOC2, HIPAA, and AWS Well Architected Framework. This module is highly valuable because it provides detailed feedback that validates our security posture, offering assurance and peace of mind. Moreover, the initial setup was straightforward, thanks to the guidance provided by their representative, who made the process simple and quick, completing it in just minutes. Overall, my experience with Pump has been overwhelmingly positive, leading me to give it a high recommendation score. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overpromise, under-deliver, a case study"
What do you like best about Pump?

The Pump.co website had a clean and straightforward look, with a design that was easy enough to follow. The fonts were modern and the layout didn’t feel cluttered, so browsing through the different sections was simple. The graphics they used, like the diagrams and badges, gave the site a bit of polish without making it feel too busy. Overall, it came across as professional but not particularly unique—more functional than memorable.

The navigation worked fine, with the menus laid out clearly and the steps for getting started explained in a logical way. Moving from one section to another was smooth, and the resources like blogs and case studies were easy to find. It wasn’t groundbreaking, but it also didn’t get in the way. The site did its job, presenting the product clearly, even if the overall feel was more “good enough” than impressive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pump?

We are a deep tech company with extensive experience in ML-ops and cloud infrastructure, so we took Pump.co’s pitch seriously when they promised us 30–40% savings on our $50k per month GCP spend. The onboarding looked smooth and the messaging was confident, but the reality could not have been further from what was promised. Instead of meaningful reductions, the savings were 0. In fact, the way the system was applied actually increased our costs, which was the exact opposite of what we were told to expect. For a team used to scrutinizing models and pipelines at scale, the gap between the claims and the actual outcome was glaring.

The experience overall was frustrating and disappointing. The UI may have looked polished, but once we got into the substance, it was clear the product wasn’t ready to deliver the kind of results it advertised. Rather than realizing efficiencies, we ended up wasting both time and money, with nothing to show for it. What was marketed as a way to automate savings turned into an exercise in explaining why the savings never materialized. For us, it underscored the difference between marketing promises and operational reality—and we would caution other companies to be skeptical of the advertised numbers.
