"Precise Boolean Filtering with Impressively Broad Source Coverage"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

The query builder is what I lean on most - boolean search and filtering

by platform, language and region let me scope a topic tightly so the

data stays clean instead of noisy, with source coverage well beyond the

obvious networks. The other standout is the support: onboarding was

hands-on, and when I bring my account manager specific or product development requests, they actually solve them rather than deflecting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The main downside is the learning curve. The query builder is powerful,

but getting good results takes real investment in the boolean logic and

the platform's quirks, and a lot of it ends up self-taught. What takes the edge off is the support: when I needed some specific Reddit queries

set up, I worked through it with my account manager and he came back

with a working solution within 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Emotion Analysis, Media Success, Strategy, and Support That Goes Above"
5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

Pulsar’s intuitive UI/UX makes powerful tools accessible to everyone, even non-coders. The new SAGA tool is incredibly conversational and approachable, and their excellent support team went above and beyond to provide tailored training and a perfectly priced package for our usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

It can sometimes feel limiting because of external factors, such as the data history associated with certain social platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pulsar: A Complete Social Listening Platform with Great Visualizations and Reports"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

Pulsar is one of the most complete platforms I've used for social listening. It gives different charts and visualizations that let you undertand better the data.

The automated reports and email digests are great to keep an eye on our proyects without having to enter to pulsar each day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

I find kind of unefficient the way you hav to structure different buckets of historical data, and wait to uploud it to the analytics in order to use historical data in the visualizations.

That you can only have 30 days of historical data of Meta or TikTok its not so good for our projects.

There might be many functionalities that may be unnecesary and disrupt a project when you want to keep it simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightweight, versatile social media data collection and analytics with great support and training"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

Pulsar TRAC is light touch and versatile. It enables me to gather data using broad or narrow focus and explore the results in the platform or download the data for more in-depth data cleaning and analysis. The new Boolean Generator is great for getting started quickly. Pulsar Trends is a useful starting point to gauge the possible volume of data for a givemn topic and where it is likely to have originated globally. The regular Power-Up sessions are useful for keeping up with product developments and sometimes meeting other users during the Q&A. My product manager and success manager are always on hand to help but most of my quick questions can be resolved in the chat with either a chatbot, knowledge base link suggestions or a support agent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

It can be slow if I hit it with lots of search set-up in the afternoon. Mornings and evenings (before 12 noon or after 6pm UK time). The filters within the search interface and Trends use a slightly different search than TRAC. This makes it a little more difficult to test my searches before running. The date ranges are also tricky as I actually get less than it says. The hover-over date ranges per platform (and knowing about the 12 noon cut-off) make this easier to understand. It is also frustrating that a historic can expire if not immediately launched due to date range limitations. It would be useful ti be able to delete searches once completed rather than archiving them. The integration with Instagram was awkward but will improve dramatically going forwards. "Extensive Social & Media Coverage with Fantastic, Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

Pulsar's access to social and media channels is extensive and offers brilliant coverage for monitoring.

The support offered by the client and specialist teams is fantastic. They are on hand to answer support questions to enable improved tracking. This support allowed me to adapt a recent trilingual search to be more effective and provide significant value to a client. They also provide support trainign and check ins as we add new users to the platform to ease the burden on my time which is very helpful.

The Core function is very useful for unified channel tracking and analysis which saves alot of time per month on our social analytics.

The team are very supportive and responsive with their guidance often aiding in getting significantly more from the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

Due to the greater coverage of social platforms this results in a longer, more complicated keyword settup for new searches. This is not a massive issue as it is caused by greater access than other platforms may offer but can mean search set up takes abit longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive PR Monitoring with Powerful Filtering and Proactive Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

Great for PR and media monitoring, while still being intuitive enough for day‑to‑day use. The platform makes it easy to track brand, campaign and issue‑based conversations across news and social and quickly turn that data into insights that are genuinely useful for reporting, pitches and client updates.

The filtering and visualisation tools are particularly strong - being able to quickly isolate relevant coverage (e.g. news only, specific geographies or time periods) saves a huge amount of time.

Customer support is another major plus. The Pulsar team are knowledgeable, responsive and proactive and are very good at helping refine searches or sense‑check outputs to ensure the data is accurate and meaningful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The Pulsar Platform is powerful but has a learning curve, especially for complex searches or when using multiple tools. New users may need help at first to get the most from the platform, although the strong onboarding and support can assist with this.

Some features, like advanced audience or influencer tools, depend on token allowances, which can limit teams that need to do intensive analysis or work quickly. More transparency or flexibility around these limits would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lots of potential and constantly improving, though it's not easy for beginners"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

Although it takes a while to get things set up, once you have a robust search you can use dashboards to filter responses and gather quick insights. Once you're confident each part of a dashboard is correct (the search, the filter, the segment etc.), the insight can be applied in lots of ways. Having filters set up in dashboards has made it easy to get quick insight upon request and sped up reporting for several disparate campaigns.

The new evolution of AI 'themes' from 'topics' is great to use with senior stakeholders and applies a lens of exploration that would be quite hard to intuit or define as an individual. The ability to export large amounts of the feed is certainly beneficial and the standard export comes with many of the fields used to create the graphics in the search - which allows me to reproduce what I'm seeing before conducting further investigation.

The Pulsar team are highly engaged and easy to get hold of - where it's easy to ask for help or bounce ideas. They're always willing to come in and offer training and the regular power-up sessions are really engaging even when they're not about a related industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

The UX could do with some work, and it's particularly difficult onboard casual users using the product. One such issue is that dashboards and reports lose legibility when exported, meaning that they cannot be directly sent to stakeholders. We have a very 'noisy' name and pull in a lot of irrelevant posts, which also means users need a good understanding of boolean logic (even when using the wizard), so it's not easy for newcomers to understand.

Another aspect is that filters are applied locally and lose connection to the original so that we can't "change one and update many". Also, the date filter often resets itself and it's quite subtle when it does - this has led me to quite a bit of re-work. It is hard to ensure the data is reliable without lots of checks and balances, but often the output is worth the annoyance. The sentiment scoring isn't overly trustworthy for our industry.

The Audiense integration is incredibly useful in theory, but the limit to X data has proven a problem - I'm excited to see how it can be used with TikTok. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Love It Overall"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

The breadth of functionality is very impressive, as well as the actual output and what you can amend to showcase your data in the best way suited to your needs (e.g. creating tables in the dashboard). Before you even get to this stage, the automatic data that you get on the launchpad is great - especially the key themes. That is super useful if you don't have time to really deep dive into the findings. If I was to say one thing, it would be the Key Themes! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

Maybe that there are various platforms within the platform that share some commonalities - potential for them to be consolidated into one. But this is a minor issue and does not impact the usability or the output you can get to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Navigate Platform with Responsive Support and Unified Social Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

Easy to navigate interface with different sections laid out clearly, making it easier to train the team. Pulsar contacts are also always quick to respond which makes satisfying client's requests so much easier. Having one platform that pulls through all social platforms is also very beneficial, and is something that really helps sell the product in to clients Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

Sometimes the coding of sentiment is way off, particularly around words that can be used in multiple ways (mainly those the younger generation have adopted). Having recently starting using email alerts, they are often quite clunky and would benefit form having a layout more similar to the platform so it's easy to digest Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pulsar’s Reddit Panel Tracking Delivers Deep Healthcare & Pharma Insights"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pulsar Platform?

I really like Pulsar’s ability to track Reddit panels, as it gives me a wealth of insight into specific areas of interest in the healthcare and pharma world that would ordinarily be harder to come by. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pulsar Platform?

If there’s one thing that could be improved, it would be a more user-friendly way to select multiple markets to run Boolean searches against when using TRAC (in Boolean mode).

Right now, I can use the LOCATION and LANG operators to include specific markets in my search, but it would be much easier if this were available as a drop-down menu or a tick-box selection on the setup page when I’m choosing my channels.

It would also be great to be able to create different filters so I can run different languages separately across those selected markets when building my Boolean search queries. At the moment, if I need to run multiple languages, I either have to create one long combined Boolean query in different languages or set up multiple searches, and that takes some time.
