I really like the continuous improvements in Progress Kendo UI, especially around performance optimization and modern framework support (Angular, React, Vue). The enhanced Grid features like virtualization, column menu improvements, and better state management make handling large datasets much smoother.
The integration with modern theming (ThemeBuilder) and design systems is also impressive—it helps maintain UI consistency across enterprise applications. Additionally, improvements in accessibility (ARIA support) and responsiveness make it more suitable for building scalable and inclusive applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Progress Kendo UI is powerful, there are a few areas for improvement:
Licensing cost can be a barrier for smaller teams or startups
Documentation, though extensive, can sometimes lack deep real-world examples for complex use cases
Performance tuning for very large datasets still requires manual optimization in some scenarios
More flexibility in customization without overriding default styles would be helpful
Opening some parts of the ecosystem (or providing a community edition) could increase adoption Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
