Privatemode AI is a privacy-first generative AI inference API that lets organizations use large language models without ever exposing their data – not to the infrastructure provider, and not even to Edgeless Systems itself. Where conventional AI APIs require you to trust that your provider handles your prompts responsibly, Privatemode AI makes trust irrelevant: hardware-enforced confidential computing means your data is technically inaccessible to anyone but you. Privatemode AI is built on confidential computing technology powered by AMD SEV-SNP secure enclaves and NVIDIA H100 GPUs running in confidential mode. Inference runs inside hardware-isolated trusted execution environments (TEEs) where even the cloud infrastructure operator cannot inspect memory contents. A lightweight client-side proxy handles remote attestation and end-to-end encryption transparently — your application calls the API exactly like any OpenAI- or Anthropic-compatible API, but prompts and responses are encrypted before they ever leave your environment. Critically, every component is verifiable. The source code is public, builds are reproducible, and customers can independently verify the entire deployment stack. No other generative AI API offers this level of transparency. Privatemode AI provides a drop-in replacement for standard AI APIs, supporting chat completions, embeddings, structured outputs, tool calling, streaming, vision, and speech-to-text. Available models include flagship open-weight models for reasoning, coding, multimodal tasks, and embeddings. The API integrates directly with popular developer tools including VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, and Claude Code.
