PreVu3d Reviews & Product Details

Overview Prevu3D is a cloud-based digital twin platform that turns reality capture data into interactive, navigable 3D environments. By unifying inputs from LiDAR, SLAM scanners, drones, and 360° video, Prevu3D gives AEC, industrial, and facility management teams an accurate digital replica of physical space — accessible from anywhere, without specialized hardware or on-site visits. Vision Prevu3D exists to close the gap between as-built reality and digital representation. Physical environments change constantly, but the systems used to design, manage, and maintain them often rely on outdated drawings or one-off site visits. Prevu3D's vision is a single, persistent digital twin that stays current with the real world — giving teams a shared source of truth for design, operations, and decision-making, and eliminating the delay between what's on-site and what's known. Product Suite RealityPlatform — Core reality capture management The foundation of Prevu3D: store, host, and manage reality capture data at scale. Automated meshing converts raw point clouds into 3D mesh models, while built-in visualization tools support point clouds, CAD, and mesh overlays in a single environment. Navigation modes — avatar, flythrough, and photosphere — make large datasets easy to explore. Projects can be shared securely with unlimited users, with annotation, commenting, and real-time feedback tools built in for collaboration. RealityPlan — Design and engineering validation Purpose-built for engineering and design teams. RealityPlan supports layout design, visual comparison, and clash detection — allowing teams to validate CAD models against as-built scans, catch clearance issues, and reduce costly rework before it reaches the field. RealityTwin — Asset-based operational twin Adds semantic, asset-level structure to the digital twin. RealityTwin attaches metadata to physical assets, integrates with enterprise systems (ERP, MES, CMMS, IoT), and supports immersive 3D facility navigation — turning a static scan into a live operational tool for asset management and facility oversight. RealityConnect — Native software integrations A suite of plugins connecting Prevu3D directly to the tools teams already use: Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Bentley MicroStation, NVIDIA Omniverse, Siemens Process Simulate, Siemens NX DesignCenter, and Siemens Plant Simulation. RealityConnect ensures reality capture data flows into existing design and simulation workflows without disrupting them. Industries & Use Cases Prevu3D serves oil and gas, manufacturing, food and beverage, automotive, and transportation sectors, supporting use cases including: Factory layout planning Design and engineering validation Geospatial analysis Health and safety assessments Virtual site tours Facility management and maintenance
