It is a great chance for freelancers and a great opportunity for learners to feel out of the typical classrooms and learning in only one way. I used to study and work with them and it was great, I had classes 2-3 times a week of French or daily if possible, and it was great learning with a Native. I know they have app phone smart devices as well as their own website which made it super helpful and easy to use. Their customer service is very quickly, and I had promo codes to compensate bad experiences or refunds if it was necessary, so I highly appreciate that from them. **What do you dislike about Preply Business?** I like everything, I know it is hard to have control of all students or tutors, but sometimes there might be bad experiences due to them **What problems is Preply Business solving and how is that benefiting you?** It offers a different and effective way of learning, so it is great to be able to choose your own schedule and your own tutor, it makes the learning process a better experience. ### 2. Simply put, our goal of learning a new language is being reached! It's easy to use, very easy to schedule/reschedule, and offers a lot of options. The reporting dashboard is intuitive. Our customer service rep (Laurence) is always available and super friendly. We use it weekly and everyone is super engaged. **What do you dislike about Preply Business?** Nothing. I mean if I had to name something, I wish it were cheaper. **What problems is Preply Business solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a binational team (US/Mexico) and everyone does work on both sides of the border, from media to working with communities. We need to be able to communicate with our stakeholders AND each other. All of the company users rave about Preply and are begging me to renew the contract. And for teachers Preply is providing a diverese platform where the teacher does not have to invest in publicity to get students. It´s a give and take. ### 5. You have videos of tutors. **What do you dislike about Preply Business?** initially it appears as a good looking website and service. However, Preply connected me with a tutor that could not speak English and hence teach me japanese for beginners. The tutor wrote down that she had technical difficulties and internet outage, which is not true. In any case, I asked for a refund which the tutor agreed but their customer service / customer support is HORRIBLE and unreachable. I would have expected at least a follow up email via the chat but it was completely unreachable I have since uninstalled Preply app from my devices and laptop. **What problems is Preply Business solving and how is that benefiting you?** unable to connect to their customer chat. Chat bots are useless. Horrible. **What do you dislike about Preply Business?** The customer service is horrible. They allow tutors to get you in at one rate and quickly double or triple your cost( within weeks in our case). We hired a tutor for an employee and he did not improve over the 6 months we used preplys tutor. He kept raising the price and doing it in a shady way by manipulating our student into cancelling/resubscribing at his new demanded cost..... then he typed up his own review in PERFECT english (which our employee did not have, hence the need for a tutor) and had him leave him a good tutor review. I find this HIGHLY unethical and reached out to preply about it and just got a talking head that just kept posting their policies and not actually addressing our complaint. **What problems is Preply Business solving and how is that benefiting you?** it was not beneficial ### 10. I also teach on Preply and it has been a great source of income. It is reliable and has a great team behind it. **What do you dislike about Preply Business?** The teachers are not always professionally trained teachers, but sometimes they are just native speakers. From a teaching standpoint, the 18% commission is a bit much with no incentive for teachers with more experience. **What problems is Preply Business solving and how is that benefiting you?** It gave me an income when everything was shut down during the pandemic. It's still been doing a great job. Tutors are more flexible and can earn money, working remotely. The support is amazingly caring. **What do you dislike about Preply Business?** Sometimes you can have problems with connection on their Preply space platform, but what app doesn't have it. They have changed a lot about it, improving the quality of the video. **What problems is Preply Business solving and how is that benefiting you?** Preply has solved a lot of problems, such as money transfers, work issues and customer's demands. They're always quick in fixing problems, controlling the situation. ### 13. I had students choose almost right away and I sold a package in the first week so the first part of using the software seemed very promising. **What do you dislike about Preply Business?** I strongly disliked that I could not be paid for trial sessions and that I was essentially working for free. It wasn't made clear that I only earn when I sell a package of lessons. I figured this out once a student had done so. I was annoyed because my money didn't change and they kept telling me to sell more. **Recommendations to others considering Preply Business:** make it clear that trials are free and unpaid. **What problems is Preply Business solving and how is that benefiting you?** I moved from a different tutoring platform to make more money and teach more specific classes.
