I can easily access from the website versus the other vendors are not easy to find out and not user friendly when trying to quick browse and sizing to find out solutions. ### 2. Whenever the hardware parts go out, replacements are received on-site in a matter of hours. Quality hardware, running fast and reliably. ILO with an option to manage everything remotely, with the ability to monitor different hardware sensors is just something that is a must on for any serious data center operation. **What do you dislike about PowerEdge Rack Servers?** It could be an isolated issue with my server models but a few times I experienced memory correction problems with some older R710 servers. It could have been bad memory modules. **What problems is PowerEdge Rack Servers solving and how is that benefiting you?** These were our primary hypervisors for powering our entire enterprise. The fact that we can be assured they would be running reliably and that replacement parts would be delivered fast is a must-have solution for any mission high availability operaton. ### 5. Also, Dell technical support is robust,and part replacements are quick. **What do you dislike about PowerEdge Rack Servers?** Sometimes it shows false alarms when running older firmware and BIOS versions. List prices at times are on the higher side, so you should negotiate a bit more for discounts. **What problems is PowerEdge Rack Servers solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been running Dell Poweredge series G6/G7/G8/G9 servers as standard hardware across our datacenters, running VMware ESXi over them as a virtualization platform. They all can be centrally managed and updated through a single Dell OME management tool. Also, with Dell support assist, failure alerts and logs are proactively sent over to the technical support team for analysis and action. ### 6. I have more than 5 server still running well ini my environment without any issue. **Recommendations to others considering PowerEdge Rack Servers:** Maybe dell pricing is higher then others, but you get great performance. **What problems is PowerEdge Rack Servers solving and how is that benefiting you?** Replacing Old servers with dell server solution. The only one issue is coming from pricing LOL, but I believe it's coming with great performance and stable in production. ### 7. I have used several brands over my career and Dell always ranks at the top with good service and reliable performance. **What do you dislike about PowerEdge Rack Servers?** Server cost is always expensive. While technology has changed a lot over the years so has the cost of servers. They always go up, but they are the price of doing business. I most dislike the cost of renewing support, normally I can get a new server for similar. **Recommendations to others considering PowerEdge Rack Servers:** Carefully consider your environment and its needs. Different systems like Hyper-V and VMware have different requrements. When dell is selling 2 tb server grade SSD's for 1300 a piece when those exact ones can be purchased through other vendors for roughly 40 percent of the cost. Built in 10GBE nics are a huge plug and scalable server with with up to 4 sockets. **What do you dislike about PowerEdge Rack Servers?** iDRAC was a little confusing to set up, but once that was up and running there were no issues. Had a bit of a hard time mounting, but that may have been the fault of out current rack. The rail kit was fairly easy to work with. **What problems is PowerEdge Rack Servers solving and how is that benefiting you?** SUpports VMware ESXI right out of the box, which allowed us to take advantage of this already powerful server. ### 15.
