"Simplicity in a complex kubernetes world"

What do you like best about Platform9 Managed Kubernetes (PMK)?

Simple to set up clusters on bare metal or cloud providers, with simple commands and good support through Slack and other channels. Platform9 helps to simplify the cluster setup and visibility. And includes metallb, which helps to externalize your Services for outside consumption. And keeping aligned with standards (not going proprietary). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Platform9 Managed Kubernetes (PMK)?

Though Platform9 masks much of the complexity, kubernetes is still pretty complicated, but again this product helps you get going much quicker than others I've seen. There's been a little disconnect between the available docs (which have good level of detail) and the currently version of the product deployed (docs are for newer version, not the one currently available to some users) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There isn't the possibility to add a cluster deployed with GKE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Platform9 Managed Kubernetes (PMK):

If you are trying to find a good platform to orchestrate your Kubernetes infrastructure, Platform9 is the right choice! It's really easy to take care of your infrastructure, you can implement alerts if any problems occur at your cluster, node, pods, deployments, or service. Another very important thing is the RBAC for accessing the resources of your account; there are different kinds of users that you can create. It's possible to create a role for a single cluster or bind a role to every cluster! You can define the rules for the alarm and decide how Platform9 will advise you in case of problems. It's possible to add namespaces and storage classes. You can download the Kubeconfig of your cluster with two types of authentication methods: by token and by using a password. Very important to me, maybe because I'm from Italy and here we still have a lot of hardware in the factory, is the possibility to deploy a cluster on a bare metal infrastructure. The automatic upgrade of the Kubernetes version and of the cluster without downtime for your application is another great thing! The possibility to have multi-tenancy is fundamental for this kind of platform! Really well done Platform9! Amazing Job! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really liked the seamless integration, the ability to add a node in an automated fashion, not a lot of knowledge of Kubernetes is required to set up and therefore it can truly democratize autoscaling and all the other great things about Kubernetes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
