## About Planim Time
Planim Time is a desktop time tracker for people who work in Jira. It sits in the menu bar, shows your assigned issues (filtered by any JQL you want), and logs time straight to Jira under your own name. No browser tab, no plugin for your Jira admin to install. The biggest time saver is the Recent Work panel. It looks at what you actually did in Jira that day (status changes, comments, tickets you touched) and suggests worklogs for the gaps. Review them, drag to adjust, add the whole day at once. Filling out a week's timesheet on Friday takes a few minutes. Everything else you'd expect is there: - timers you start from the tray in one click - two-way sync: push worklogs to Jira, pull back what's already there and edit it - a calendar where worklogs are blocks you can drag and resize, plus a timesheet grid if you'd rather type hours into cells - idle detection: if you walk away or the laptop goes to sleep, it asks whether to keep that time, subtract it, or stop the timer where you left - reports by issue with work descriptions, CSV export or copy to clipboard for standup - automations: suggest a timer when a ticket moves to In Progress, push on stop, move ticket status when you start or stop, remind you if a timer has been running for a while - a team view for leads: hours by person, issue, epic and project, who's missing time against expected daily hours, and original estimates next to actuals - offline works fine, worklogs wait locally as Pending and push when you're back online A few things we care about that most trackers get wrong. Worklogs go through Jira's own API under each person's real account, so they look exactly like entries typed in Jira and nothing gets stuck in a third-party silo. All data lives in a local database on your machine. There are no screenshots and no activity scores. Jira credentials (OAuth or an API token, your choice) go into the system keychain: macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager or Secret Service on Linux. They are never written to a config file. Works on macOS, Windows and Linux, with Jira Cloud. The core tracker, including two-way sync, is free forever and doesn't need an account. Pro adds the calendar, automations, idle detection, reports and team stats, with a 14-day trial and no card required. Team is the same Pro, priced per seat for the whole workspace.
