Pinterest pulls inspiration from all over the internet and allows you to categorize it to fit your interests. As an artist I gather reference images for vairous projects on a weekly basis. This site allows me to easily set up a folder for a specific project and fill it with images for that project. It will also suggest images based on the items I have selected which is very helpful. I have also used this for crafting ideas, gathering recipes for baking, ice cream, and dinners, gift lists, and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Pinterest? The least helpful part about Pinterest is the advertising. I know ads are necessary but they can be intrusive at times. Another thing that bothers me is how the Pinterest homepage gathers images. Instead of sticking with my interests it will often skew to the project I am currently gathering reference for... so if I'm doing a graphic novel about teens at the beach I am suddenly overwhelmed with images selling teen clothing or showing scantilly clad women. What I don't like about Pinterest is that the iPad app can be buggy and sometimes gives me problems when I try to post. I talked to their support team a lot, but they never fixed it for me. Also, earlier this year, there was a glitch on their end that kept showing that I had problems with my tags when it wasn't true, and almost made me lose my verified merchant status. I love how integrative and customizable the website has gotten. They have implemented tools to help with an accurate search. I enjoy how it provides custom boads according to your searches. It has almost everything. Quotes, images, pictures, recipes, ideas, latest fashion trends, storage. It also has a vast community where you can share the ideas and connect with the audience across diverse geographies. It boasts of a vast collection of information on diverse topics and it serves as a central repository for information. It also has its own app which you can download from the app store of your phone. Now a days, pinterest has a become a bit slow and full of ads. Opening a pinterest website in a mobile browser can sometimes prove to be cumbersome as it does not optimizes the page well. A login window prompts up and it is quite sticky. Navigating can be an issue sometimes. Also, post viewing some of the pages, it asks user to login inorder to view other contents, this is in my opinion a bad experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Pinterest: Pinterest is pretty easy to find. Just google it and append with it your search criteria. For example, suppose you want to search for a motivational quote. Just open www.google.com and search for "pinterest + Motivational quotes." And bingo. You will get loads of never ending content which you can read, save, share, love. It can prove to be stress buster. Also, pinterest does not restrict its domain to just quotes. It has loads of other data and information which you can go through and make use of it. It also has its own app which you can download through google play/apple app store.
