"Pentera Helps Us Focus on Real Security Risks"
5/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

Over the past period, Pentera has continued to provide valuable insights into real attack paths and security exposure across our environment. The platform helps prioritize remediation efforts based on validated risks, making it easier to focus on what matters most. We have also seen ongoing improvements in usability and reporting, which help streamline security operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pentera?

The platform already meets our needs very well. Minor enhancements to reporting customization and dashboard flexibility could provide additional value, but overall the experience has been excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Realistic Simulations, Key Vulnerability Insights"
5/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

Pentera really impresses me with its ability to deliver "real attack results" and provide "remediation" guidance. It eliminates guessing and highlights what truly needs patching or reconfiguring, allowing me to focus on the important things. I also value how it tests our security guidelines and hardening processes, indicating whether they're configured correctly or if they need fixes, steering us away from just following generic best practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pentera?

The reports for the system team that needs to fix issues could be improved. I want a report that shows issues and remediation in a way that's easy to export and understand for the system team. Additionally, setting up for layer 2 attacks requires a some networking configuration and interfaces, which complicates things a bit, but without that, for just layer3 attacks it’s pretty simple. "Evidence-Based Exposure Validation with Safe, Real-World Attack Emulation"
5/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

Pentera's ability to safely emulate real-world attack vectors within production environments is its strongest asset. It shifts the paradigm from theoretical vulnerability management - relying heavily on CVSS - to evidence-based exposure validation. The automated kill-chain visualization directly highlights structural choke points in the network, allowing us to prioritize remediation exactly where it breaks the attacker's path, rather than wasting hours chasing false positives. What do you dislike about Pentera?

Overall, I have not experienced any significant drawbacks in the core functionality or day-to-day operations. The only notable limitation I've encountered is the lack of native support for a specific cloud platform within our architecture. Expanding their validation coverage to include a wider array of specialized cloud environments would close this gap and make the platform truly comprehensive. "Fast and Accurate Scanning Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

I really like the speed and results of Pentera's scanning feature. It's something that I can't achieve on my own, and it helps me uncover a lot of findings on servers that aren't updated. The initial setup was very easy, and I'd definitely recommend it to others, rating it a solid 10 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pentera?

Our SOC team had to spend time solving a problem because every event from Pentera scanning came through without any parameter, which was frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cutting-Edge Security with a Real Attacker Approach"
5/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

I like that Pentera is a one of a kind security product. The difference from the other ones, which are agent-based, is that it does everything like a real attacker would do. It does lateral movement and is very clear to understand when talking about the results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pentera?

I'd like to get targeted reports or analyze specific assets. This is a key product change that is needed. It was a bit challenging since we had to use physical machines, especially for the cracking agent. And we had to use a specific flavor of Ubuntu, which is different from our enterprise Red Hat Linux. "Continuously Validates Security Controls and Spots Vulnerabilities Early"
5/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

I like Pentera because it continuously validates our security controls and helps us spot vulnerabilities early, before attackers have a chance to exploit them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pentera?

What I like less about Pentera is that some reports and findings can be hard to interpret, and they often require additional analysis to fully understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unmatched Security Testing with Robust Lateral Movement"
5/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

I really appreciate Pentera's lateral movement capabilities and the valuable findings it provides. I'm also impressed with the wide range of attack and testing options available in the system, especially the ability to conduct whitebox attacks. These features make it a powerful tool for addressing network vulnerabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pentera?

I find the process to export some of the evidence less smooth than I would like. It would be great if Pentera could improve on this aspect, making it easier for users to handle and share the evidence generated by their tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Interface, Seamless Vulnerability Discovery"
4/5
What do you like best about Pentera?

I really like Pentera's user interface, which makes it easy to use. The guide on how to remediate each item is great too, as it helps us understand how to plug the holes we find. It was also pretty easy to set up, which was a plus for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pentera?

I think Pentera could really improve by adding a feature to approve all attacks simultaneously. Right now, you have to wait for each attack to pop up for approval, and having the ability to approve them all at once would save a lot of time. It's a bit of a hassle to manage each one individually, so a bulk approval feature would be a great time-saver and streamline the workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
