Don't have to use another app, or open another page -- everything happens within Slack which our team already uses, so the effort and learning curve is basically non-existent. Has been really easy to get started, configure and best of all convince our team to start using it. **What do you dislike about Pause?** We're a consultancy -- which means sometimes people have to take a break from one project to work on another. This is not a use case that is currently covered by Pause and I completely understand why -- but I really hope that they add it in the future. **What problems is Pause solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking leaves -- we have a pretty liberal leave policy but we still want to have a simple way to track leaves. As managers, we would need to know the reason for a leave. - There's no need for an alert if no one's on leave. (when integrated with Slack) - There's an option that team should fill their bdays and date of joining but that too is optional. I like the way the Pause bot sounds, they are pretty chill and laid back. Pause makes it super simple to apply for time off, see how much time off I have taken and how many days I have left, and also to know when my colleagues are OOO. 10/10 would recommend, it's an easy integration into your Slack workspace. **What do you dislike about Pause?** There have been no downsides to using Pause. **What problems is Pause solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simplifying the time off process lets me plan efficiently and removes unnecessary back and forth with my colleagues and manager about leave. It makes me less anxious to take or apply for leave, and also means that I don't feel obliged to over-explain why I want to take time off. As someone who isn't as technologically fluent as others, pause has been an easy interface to deal with and has made my user experience wonderful. People management has been incredible as it allows me to use its various brilliant features such as daily calendar updates to slack, team calendars and much more. This not only keeps our internal team informed but also communicate the same with our clients and shareholders with ease. **What do you dislike about Pause?** There isn't much to dislike about the product. I do feel it is a brilliant yet simple solution for a day to day business problem. However, having said that I would suggest that a few features be improved upon or added on. For example, a feature that enables daily updates on when team members are on vacation. Maybe a sort of notification service that allows teams to be well aware (say 1-2 days earlier) about a team member's vacation. Also, an update when someone takes a half-day off. **What problems is Pause solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the biggest issues Pause has helped us solve is employee burnout. We are a small organisation of 10-15 people and employee vacation days were not being availed by many within the organisation, which led to a lot of burnouts. With the help of Pause, we were able to effectively track and encourage not just deductible and paid leaves but also non-deductibles leaves such as burnout leaves and mental health leaves. It also solved the ease of applying for a leave. No more excessive forms or applications to fill or complicated leave procedures to follow. One notification we got was 'There is no holiday in this week' or something like that, which is informative, but I don't know if it's motivating or demotivating. We have not used many features, if there are any. Love how fast and easy it is to apply for a leave. **What do you dislike about Pause?** Right now we get a notification on Slack every day at 9 AM which tells us the people who are on leave today - This works perfectly if anyone has applied for leave before 9 AM. If someone applies for leave after 9 we don't get an update and we assume that person is working today. **What problems is Pause solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously we had to get the leave approved first and then add the leave on Google Calendar so others know if someone is on leave.
