Its documentation is poor it may consist more in attractive manner .... I have heard of cases when the setup.m file did not work from my friends. These are very useful, as they contain modules for running several machine learning/pattern recognition algorithms. These can be easily adapted to any platform, including mobile devices, and saves a lot of time that would otherwise be spent on coding and programming. Very user-friendly and greatly loved by student researchers as well. **What do you dislike about Patern Recognition and Machine Learning Toolbox?** The learning curve for Matlab in general is quite steep, but those who are familiar with any programming language should be able to pick it up quickly. Our university offers it for free to students and faculty, otherwise the cost of the products is high (if purchasing for personal use). Especially, the company charges an annual maintenance fee for some of their products which means you have to keep paying them even after you purchased the product from them. I wish it were more affordable for more widespread use.
