There is really nothing else to like in my opinion. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** When something breaks (server down) there is no actual support just people on the phone telling you that things will be get fixed but even after 3 days of numerous tickets and phone to support the tickets are unanswered and the server is unreachable ... absolutely unprofessional. Numerous ticket and phone calls on incident on 20/5/2020 have gone unanswered and VPS unreachable so I have decided to move away from this service. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** Don't even consider it for anything other than fun or hobby projects you will regret it. **What problems is OVHcloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** The price seems right but comes with non existent support it seems ### 2. Also, there was a degree of transparency for each step takes, where OVH informs the waiting time and processes in queue. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** I don't have anything to complain, although I have encountered some issues and waiting times while setting up the email. I understood after that it's not OVH issue, but the normal DNS propagation times. But in the end, how can you dislike OVH and its features ? The best price in comparison with competitors. Good support. I use the services OVH.com and OVH.ie. If you use OVH.ie, you will be charged tax when paying for services. But you can not pay VAT, if you contact support. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** I do not like the fact that I can not choose different IP for their sites. For example, I need a US IP address. Also, I would like to easily change the IP address for my server. Also, I can pay Paypal only if my account is registered on OVH.com. I cannot pay by Paypal if my account is registered on the OVH.ie website. I would also like to be able to buy IP. For example, on my server there are 10 sites. I want each site to have a different IP. I am willing to pay money for this service. I would also like to be able to increase the amount of RAM on my server, without buying a separate VPS. Now I can not do this and I do not like it. We came recommended by other companies, telling us that they were the best in hosting, and that's the way it is. - In these years, it has never stopped working for a single day. the website has always been online. - It is not free, but for good service it is well priced. They have different fees for each need. - It has a mail service of its own, from where we can manage the mail of the company. - It's very stable. - It offers the possibility of having reports of visits to your website: how many people enter, from where, at what time, etc. Very useful. - when we had a problem, from the support they always helped us, even in our language. - it is in different languages - Very secure server against virus attacks and hackers. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** - At the user level, we have never had any problem with ovh. The control panel administrator is very user-friendly and easy to use, the support team is very efficient, but they usually don't help you with something technical. Kimsufi is the second brand of OVH and they have very good low-cost products to start with for small businesses. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** If there is a problem with a server, they don't help you very well, to say the least, or they just tell you to reinstall the server, so it's not a service for people who are not very accustomed to servers. If you want to close a server, you have to wait until the end of the month and stop paying for it. There is no way to manually cancel a service. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** OVH is a great provider. Additionally, you're charged for only the space that you're utilizing which makes it more convenient for users where they're only paying for what they're using. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** The data retrieval process takes quite long, so, retrieving the files from the cloud is time consuming. Also, the uploading process look quite technical and not very user friendly which makes it another disadvantages. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** It is certainly a good option for considering this product for your company as they're extremely customer centrists and provide good security and backup option for your data. Also, they offer good service for a reasonable price is what that makes it a good option to consider. You can also carry out some basic analysis and the tools provided for analysis are highly effective. Also, their cloud infrastructure is compatible for many software. The fact that they're into the new trend that is AI and Deep Learning will sure help us in a long run. **What problems is OVHcloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** The fact that it provides an option of continuous and regular backup makes our work easy. We do't have to manually go and upload our data and it is done automatically. Rsync tool does it all for us. Also, they provide good security for our data and the data is stored archived which consumes lesser space. ### 12. The UI is fairly easy to use and they are improving it all the time. There VPS severs run pretty smooth and with little down time. Customer suport is easy to get with the option of email, phone and ticket system **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** If there is a problem with a sever they dont assist you very well so its not a service for people not so used to servers. If you want to close a sever you have to wait till the end of the month and just stop paying for it. There is no way to manually cancel a service. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** OVH is defiantly a good hosting soloution and they offer a nice range of services. I recommend them as long as you have a good basic knowledge on severs as they only provide the hardware and will not help if your sever has software issues. The control panel is simple and they do reply fast when you have issues. They have very little downtime and will pay compensation if there is. It can take a few emails to get it but in the end they will pay. We have been working with ovh since 2011 and the benefits we have achieved have really been great. They are quite responsible for the contract, if something happens that is outside the contract they apply the SLA and they compensate you for the damages caused. The range of products offered are quite varied in the web and basically cover all fields, from a load balancer to a simple hosting for people. Its Virtual Datacenter platform is super complete and all its products are self-managing in a simple way. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** What has always worried me a bit about ovh is the support, they have been characterized by offering an automation to 1000% I imagine to try to give full responsibility to the contractor, However they have a product that is premium technical support with the that you receive immediate technical support in several ways, is the one I recommend, otherwise, you would have to use the ticket system and just wait for answers. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** - Make use of the backup system that ovh owns and that is totally free. - Make this data backup in addition. - Request direct support by mail is quite effective. **What problems is OVHcloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** - Improve service costs that is really important when planning the budget. - Complete automation to solve any problem ourselves. - I avoid problems of overload with all the infrastructures that I use of ovh. - I have a lot of products in one place. ### 14. We also like that there's no concept of a long-term contract with OVH, everything is based on a monthly agreement basic. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** The lack of any advanced technical support or deployment help. OVH is more like a cheap priced, self-service hosting solution. So if you try to deploy your software on a OVH hosting plan/server and meet some kind of issues, don't expect to find any answer at OVH technical support, because it's not part of the deal! **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** When you choose OVH as your web hosting solution, be aware that you will get a self-service hosting solution and you need to have very high skill in web application and software deployment. If you are looking for a turnkey solution, you should definitely consider another provided such as GoDaddy. However if you are looking for a cheap hosting solution to host your own solution, OVH is definitely a great company to consider. I also need to mention that they are currently developing some solution that would be more like turnkey. I'd say my normal response time at this point is somewhere around 3 weeks. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** Make sure you have adequate means to support yourself without their assistance. They offer a lot of services but fall down when it comes to getting you answers you need to safely implement specific configurations. Another good thing is that all prices are very cheap and let you experiment feature for small period of times, let you change service whethever you want. Another good thing is that they own lot of bandwidth so we never had bandwidth issues. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** Support is very poor, i've contacted them many times without active solution of problems. Some time heappens that we had problems and the support negate the evidence of them, saying that it was our problem and so closed the ticket without resolution. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** Pay attention that ovh support is very bad and slow to reply to your ticket, minimum before a reply you can wait 24-48 hours, reciving a response not correct. **What problems is OVHcloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We externalized some services, like, VPN, hosting server and some dedicated server. Their innovative way of cooling their datacenter, the large and performant network they manage around the globe, the proximity to users of their datacenter, and the quality of their services are the big advantage of OVH over many competitors. We are using their services for years, and I could count on single hand the incident I have suffer from, and their time for repair were also very short. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** The efficiency of their support for minor or administrative problems is a real pain. When they have a know incident for which they are obviously responsible, they usually fix it fast and efficiently. But when you have an individual issue where it is not so clear who is responsible, or when their management UI has made wrong operation despite your proper usage, it is terribly difficult to have a result in support, or it takes weeks to get a very small improvement. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** For any hosting needs, I would recommend OVH, but don't expect them to help you, just expect their service to be top quality and their network to be the most reliable and efficient worldwide (almost). **What problems is OVHcloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are hosting our servers in their premise since we have stop buying and hosting our server in our own premises. The quality of their network and of the hardware they providing is just unbeatable for the price they offer, even when you do it yourself. ### 21. Selfservice system, In the new management system you can access all the tools you might need during your daily work. Network performance is great. Hardware diversity. New api interface, Is a great way to do maintenance of some systems. Privacy, the respect their clients privacy and don't cut out service at the first claim. Fast provisioning **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** Using multiple brands and not being able to use products between brands. It's the same provider, why? Constant change of use terms. Support, you need to improve it a lot. Spam detection system gives too much false positives. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** Depending on the size of your demands try different brands, but for production use go to ovh, don't use low brands. Backups, do backups as much as you can. Just in case something fails. Never use a server without redundant disks, OVH just change disks when a problem occurs. Clusterize critical systems, server are cheap, rent two. Take care when choosing a data center for clusterized services, it's better when all the servers are in the same data center. **What problems is OVHcloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a tiny ISP, we use OVH systems for our base systems. We resell part of the OVH products to our clients. We help to another OVH clients to maintain theirs systems. They don't cap your bandwidth which is a big plus. Their console is simple but has the right amount of controls to let you manage your servers. **What do you dislike about OVHcloud?** Their support is not very responsive. They will take a long time to reply to emails and might tell you that your problems are not on their side. We've had DSN problem in the past and they never acknowledged it. The only way we found to "fix" the issue was to spin a new server. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** It's sometimes hard to find the right server because they don't seem to have an infinite amount of them. It doesn't allow us to run CouchDB. We were able to install from a vanilla Ubuntu ISO though and work around it. **Recommendations to others considering OVHcloud:** OVH is a great provider if you need good bare-metal servers at great prices. Their network is solid and we've never had an issue with servers not being in-stock. **What problems is OVHcloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're using OVH to host our Cassandra cluster and our website.
