OttoApp Reviews & Product Details

OttoApp is mobile-first recreation management software for parks and recreation departments, gymnastics centers, dance studios, YMCAs, churches, camps, scouting organizations, and team sports leagues. It combines class registration, facility scheduling, payment processing, and participant communication in one platform, reducing administrative work for staff and simplifying the experience for participants. OttoApp includes participant messaging with targeted email, push notifications and SMS updates for schedule changes, weather delays, and time-sensitive communications. For sports leagues, it provides tools to organize teams, generate schedules, track standings, and manage rosters. Participants get a mobile-first experience: they can browse programs, register, sign digital waivers, and complete the full process directly from their phones. A shared family calendar gives households one view of all family members' upcoming classes and events. QR code check-ins speed up entry at facilities, and built-in team and group chat features let parents, coaches, and participants communicate securely. OttoApp was founded by Landon Schenck, who also founded REC1 in 2003. After seeing legacy recreation management systems fall behind, he built OttoApp as a mobile-first alternative with a short learning curve, so new staff can manage registrations and daily operations from day one.
