I appreciate the clear interface of reqSuite® rm and the extensive possibilities for configuration and customization. The onboarding is great, with very intensive support from competent contacts. I find the extensive traceability and the ability to version entries helpful. The tool largely maps our development process and helps in handling or reducing complexity. It saves time in requirements management and offers automation through import and export functions. For very specific applications, there is not always an immediate suitable function. For inexperienced users or those without prior knowledge of systems engineering, getting started can be laborious, but there is appropriate support available for this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We tested some other RM-tools and ReqSuite was really outstanding:

ReqSuite is easy to learn by the user. After only one hour (if it all) of teaching the UI of the software and another hour or two of teaching our customized configuration the users were able to start using the tool. After a few ours of learning by doing ReqSuite faded into the background and the users could concentrate on the content. Feedback of all our users was that then ReqSuite brings effiency and transparency into requirements management.

The initial setup of the configuration was done by the very supportive team of OSSENO after a number of workshops. For us administrators it was then easy to adapt the configuration. If we faced any problems we got immedialtely help from OSSENO. Specially for best practises their experience in systems engineering and requirements management from their past jobs was priceless.

Technical issues are rare, but when they do occur, OSSENO’s customer support is consistently responsive and helpful. Additionally, the Osseno Learning Suite has been instrumental in helping our teams explore and master the tool’s extensive functionality.

Export capabilities are another highlight, allowing us to generate traceability matrices and customized Word and Excel templates to meet documentation requirements.

For internal training purposes, we’ve also benefited from complimentary access to the ReqSuite Cloud variant, which has supported our learning initiatives effectively.

The flexibility of ReqSuite® RM is a standout feature. The tool is highly configurable, allowing you to tailor data models, workflows, and templates to your specific needs without heavy IT involvement. The onboarding support is excellent, with responsive and knowledgeable consultants guiding setup and customization. Traceability features, especially the end-to-end linking of requirements, changes, and test cases, bring strong structure to our project documentation. The export functionality works well but could be more intuitive, particularly when generating large and complex documents for project stakeholders. The main difficulty we faced was with configuring exports to Word and Excel.

While the export configuration is accessible, it requires significant testing to achieve the desired output, which can be time-consuming. It also involves learning a specific pseudo-code syntax that isn’t very intuitive for standard users, making template creation more technical than expected. Additionally, the notification system could be improved. Currently, there’s no in-app notification center to track updates or changes in one place, notifications are limited to email, which works but isn’t always convenient. That said, the ReqSuite® team has been very receptive to feedback, and many of these aspects are already being considered for improvement in future releases. ReqSuite RM is a very powerful and flexible modeling tool that allows you to define all the artifacts that are used in defining the scope in project, and very importantly the relationships between them. This flexibility makes it very unrestricted in its uses. For example, you can go beyond modeling just requirements and use-cases by moving along the "chain" of artifacts in either direction, and add artifacts such as "project or program deliverables", that can then be linked to a "business case" or "business strategy" or "outcomes and benefits" artifact. At the other end of the chain you can add artifacts like "test case" or "test plans" or "test runs" that validate or verify the requirements. Much of this flexibility is down to ReqSuite's unique architecture that is based on a Hierarchical Structure (decomposition) rather than a time-based which is predominant with competitive software. This subtle difference is game changing because the focus is on "what you deliver" rather than "when you deliver it". This allows you to view and model projects differently from a deliverable perspective, so all the artifacts decompose from main project deliverable. Finally, ReqSuite's has advanced features like the AI supported intelligent assistance that takes the tool to a new level by raising the bar on the quality of the artifacts. For example, how a requirement is written by highlighting ambiguities, inconsistencies, commonalities between two artifacts, and other grey areas. This allows an organization to introduce a common approach within and across teams creating, reviewing and managing artifacts like requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not much it really covers all the basics so well like full traceability (along the V-Model from requirements to test cases), impact analysis (of changes), automatic versioning, baselines, reuse, release management, structure and overview based on underlying data-model. It potentially could have advanced features like copying sections of existing templates into new templates, so models can be copied in, but that is in an upcoming release. The reqSuite allows us to present our requirements clearly and linked. It is our single source of truth for all our requirements. In case of questions or problems, support is always quickly available! Integration was super easy, just like the implementation of the requirements.
