After only one hour (if it all) of teaching the UI of the software and another hour or two of teaching our customized configuration the users were able to start using the tool. After a few ours of learning by doing ReqSuite faded into the background and the users could concentrate on the content. Feedback of all our users was that then ReqSuite brings effiency and transparency into requirements management. The initial setup of the configuration was done by the very supportive team of OSSENO after a number of workshops. For us administrators it was then easy to adapt the configuration. If we faced any problems we got immedialtely help from OSSENO. Specially for best practises their experience in systems engineering and requirements management from their past jobs was priceless. Very helpful to get started was that Reqsuite can be SAAS or installed on premise and that it comes with a JIRA-interface. **What do you dislike about reqSuite® rm?** Not really much, because all is straight forward and nothing critical is missing. Only the visual representation of the traces could be improved, but even this is not really worth complaining. **What problems is reqSuite® rm solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before ReqSuite we had had different documents for use cases, requirements, specifications, verifications, change requests etc. with manually copy&paste from one to another. Now we have a single source for all the content of the mentioned documents. Also the contents are now interconnected. This flexibility makes it very unrestricted in its uses. For example, you can go beyond modeling just requirements and use-cases by moving along the "chain" of artifacts in either direction, and add artifacts such as "project or program deliverables", that can then be linked to a "business case" or "business strategy" or "outcomes and benefits" artifact. At the other end of the chain you can add artifacts like "test case" or "test plans" or "test runs" that validate or verify the requirements. Much of this flexibility is down to ReqSuite's unique architecture that is based on a Hierarchical Structure (decomposition) rather than a time-based which is predominant with competitive software. This subtle difference is game changing because the focus is on "what you deliver" rather than "when you deliver it". This allows you to view and model projects differently from a deliverable perspective, so all the artifacts decompose from main project deliverable. Finally, ReqSuite's has advanced features like the AI supported intelligent assistance that takes the tool to a new level by raising the bar on the quality of the artifacts. For example, how a requirement is written by highlighting ambiguities, inconsistencies, commonalities between two artifacts, and other grey areas. This allows an organization to introduce a common approach within and across teams creating, reviewing and managing artifacts like requirements. **What do you dislike about reqSuite® rm?** Not much it really covers all the basics so well like full traceability (along the V-Model from requirements to test cases), impact analysis (of changes), automatic versioning, baselines, reuse, release management, structure and overview based on underlying data-model. It potentially could have advanced features like copying sections of existing templates into new templates, so models can be copied in, but that is in an upcoming release. **What problems is reqSuite® rm solving and how is that benefiting you?** ReqSuite's flexibility allows it to be applied to a variety of different environments whether project or product based to solve many problems, and this is reflected by ReqSuite's diverse customer base across many industries. ReqSuite's flexibility solves numerous problems in projects, whether the project is SLDC or COTs, Waterfall or Agile, V-Model, with the focus on managing artifacts and deliverables. The benefits of this flexibility has allowed us to design and build solutions that support Program and Project Management (PPM), Project Management Office (PMO), and executing Organizational Change Management (OCM). ReqSuite also allows logic to be added and with that you can quickly create different models within a solution that can perform complex analysis (change impact and stakeholders, risk, and benefits realization). This has allowed us to design and build solutions that for example issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and evaluate vendor responses for software modules. Another example is with Risk it has allowed us to design and build solutions that comply with ISO 26262 the international standard for functional safety of electrical and electronic (E/E) systems in road vehicles. Similarly, with medical devices and ISO 14971. We also have used ReqSuite to introduce standards (industry, product specific, or PMO) into a project and link artifacts to standards, so that if these standards change a notification is sent to the owner of the artifact (like a requirement) that action needs to be taken. For example, we can see at a glance whether any tests/verifications are missing, etc. This ensures end-to-end traceability. It serves as a ‘single source of truth’ for us and enables us to reliably analyse the impact of possible changes for the first time. The ability to reuse requirements in other development projects is also enormously helpful for us and has a positive impact on development speed. It is incredibly valuable that we as the admin have the flexibility to design the layout for a project as we need it. The entire user interface, apart from the very good functionality of the tool, can be customised according to the needs of the stakeholders. The role and rights management is very powerful and also enables us to guarantee external parties (such as suppliers) targeted access to certain data, so that ReqSuite offers us optimum conditions for working together on a project. And should it ever be necessary to export the data to Word or Excel templates (e.g. specifications) in line with stakeholder requirements, this is also possible at the touch of a button. This is a huge relief for us. Another advantage is that ReqSuite can only be operated via a browser interface and does not create any unnecessary hurdles, which benefits user acceptance. As an internationally active company, we can also work optimally with our colleagues in other countries in ReqSuite. Furthermore, access to the learning units with very good explanatory videos on the subject of configuration, administration of the tool or best practice tips on the subject of requirements management is helpful. Our technical questions about using the tool and any problems that arise are always answered and resolved quickly by the friendly, competent and always helpful customer support team. **What do you dislike about reqSuite® rm?** Export not only in word and excel but also as PDF would be desirable. **What problems is reqSuite® rm solving and how is that benefiting you?** We can now create requirements in a tool with very helpful functions such as the quality check and, in the event of changes, use the impact analysis to quickly see which other requirements or verifications are affected and may need to be considered. This helps us to reduce errors in our requirements and improve the quality of the requirements. Ensuring everyone have the same data - single source of truth The reuse function helps us to reduce the time and labour required to create requirements for a project and, if adjustments are made to the original file, to be able to see immediately in which projects these ‘original requirements’ are also linked and should be checked if necessary. Thanks to the good filter functions and view creation, the teams can access the requirements/information more quickly. Of course you can use things out of the box if that works for you too, but if you want to rename, remodel or replace anything, you can! The support is also first rate, onboarding was simple and we had all the help we needed getting started including a first pass at the structure we were looking for, giving us a good starting point to learn and adapt. Regular catch-up calls enabled us to learn at our own pace and discuss what we were trying to achieve and why, to collaboratively come up with the answers. And all these comes with a price that is competitive. **What do you dislike about reqSuite® rm?** With flexibility there is always the risk of complication, and often there are two different ways to achieve a similar outcome, so you need to be prepared to put some time and effort into this to get the most out of the tool. This does present a bit more of a learning curve right at the start if you are going to tailor things to your own way of working. Occasionally there is a feature you might expect to be present as a basic need, but they are keen to take on board feedback for improvements and are actively developing - plus the ability to modify structures so easily means a workaround is usually simple in the short term. **What problems is reqSuite® rm solving and how is that benefiting you?** ReqSuite is allowing us to develop and manage our requirements the way we want them, and keep everything in one place and under control, just as any good RM tool should. Greatest selling point for us is still the flexibility as you can easily model any fields and relationships to adapt the tool for different projects, customers and requirements. We are using the tool internally as well as for external projects for our customers and have created several different project templates to get the most value out of ReqSuite. Technical problems as well as questions regarding the use of the poweful modeling functionality are always answered and solved quickly by the friendly, compenent and always helpful customer support. **What do you dislike about reqSuite® rm?** The provided export functions have been good but limited in the past. The implications and restrictions of the different ways to export (e. g. "full export" or "selected export" to MS Excel) have not always been easy to understand. An easy to use but reliable way to create our own backups of the different repositories independent of provider has been on our wish list for some time. Osseno has already adressed these issuse in the past and is constantly working to improve the functionalities.
