There are a ton of security issues and fixing them is not well documented. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle WebLogic:** I'd look elsewhere. It works well for web applications particularly Java applications and it's fast, scalable and stable. **What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?** The installation documentation is not straightforward. Need to go through different docs to be able to install it efficiently. It doesn't provide clear steps to follow in case one wants only to use some of its features, for example, JMS or if issues are encountered. Technical help and support are minimal. We have also worked on RPAS solution. I have worked from version 10.3.0 through 11 g and currently working on 12.1.3 and 12.2.1. Have also integrated to use ADF with 12.1.3 and 12.2.1. Easy deployments, clustering capabilities make this a best software. Oracle did a good job after acquiring this weblogic server from BEA. I used to use this application server right from the BEA days and now I see this has become stable and when we moved from Sun to Linux operating system, we even observed better performance using this oracle weblogic server. **What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?** Some of the major draw backs of this Oracle weblogic is that we don't have a graphical tool to develop our scripts. Major IDEs export in WAR or EAR format which is staged in WebLogic and deployed to your cluster or node. Heavy load - Can handle 30-40 applications running on a four-server cluster at one time. The UI remains responsive and isolated on an AdminServer separate from the running applications. **What do you dislike about Oracle WebLogic?** Heavy memory usage - Out of the box, WebLogic is configured for mainly 5-10 mid-grade applications. You need to alter memory parameters and sometimes boost physical hardware to increase heap stack to support heavier application loads, when pushing 35+ applications on one instance. **What problems is Oracle WebLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Web applications for business use.
