Users consistently praise the robust integration with Oracle databases, which simplifies the development process and enhances productivity. The IDE's visual tools and built-in features streamline application design and debugging, making it a preferred choice for Java developers within the Oracle ecosystem. However, many note that it can be resource-intensive, leading to slower performance on less powerful machines.

"ORACLE SQL AND WHOLE WHOLE ONLINE EXPERIENCE OF JAVA,HTML ,XML"
5/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

The thing which i liked the most is its availability, that it is free to use and surf. There are a lot of platforms that require a subscription, but it is free; hence there are more number of users on this platform.

It has a vivid presentation style and a good interface for users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

It isn't easy to make an application on this platform as, in my opinion, it requires a lot of guidance and instructions, which make it challenging for beginners.

Sometimes it may freeze while using WYSIWYG editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

The best thing about JDeveloper is it is a free tool and we are using it for developing java, oracle applications, and packages. It is easily get integrated with oracle middleware and provides a nice GUI for text. its other best wizards are the generation of repetitive code which helps our team members to write once and use it many times advantage. JDeveloper’s web application development environment includes a drag-and-drop function that allows users to bring one element of the design from one place to another simply by clicking on them and drawing the cursor to the destination. What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

The major issue about JDeveloper is that it is taking longer loading time as well as tool is consuming higher memory of your computer. Another thing is JDeveloper configuration is not an easy task, it is problematic work. no Autosave option is available which causes the loss of code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Oracle Databse Base"

What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

I am working on Oracle for 2 years now - it's the most advance and secure software - you can create your own software, it has many tools where you can create a advance database for your company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

the language we use in oracle is now it's bit old and the application needs more easily - and more user convenient - it should be in one software with all the tools like reporting - database and SQL Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Jdeveloper Review"
4/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

It allows me to visualize the tables, functions, and procedures in a short period of time (unlike other programs), and it also has a very simple style of organizing objects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

I think the highest possible is the initial load time. I don't know if it's because it's an old version or depending on the databases loaded, but it always takes a long time at the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool for your regular software development"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

The UI is quite interactive and user friendly. It have lot of inbuild features which helps a lot for faster application development. The drag and drop feature is very useful and you can quickly create a application using Jdev. Rapid compilation and building of your code during code writting is very helpful. If you are using ADF framework then jdev helps a lot of quick configurationa and development. it supports versioning so helpful to recover your old code easily. It has a built in WebLogic server to test your applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

Integation with other third party software using jdev is quite complex and not so easy as compare to other software development Ide's. Auto complete suggestion system is very slow. Loading time is quite high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Oracle Jdeveloper with Java"
5/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

A significant advantage of Oracle Jdeveloper with other IDEs is that it natively handles connections with Oracle DBs and allows through plugins to work with code from the Oracle Services Bus Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

I do not like that the application is somewhat heavy, so it requires some disk space and RAM to run the IDE satisfactorily Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool to work with XSD Schema"
5/5
What do you like best about Oracle JDeveloper?

I have been using JDeveloper to create and modify XSD schema. It's graphical representation of the elements is really helpful to create XSD documents without worrying about coding. Even if you don't have any technical background, you can learn using Jdeveloper very easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle JDeveloper?

Nothing much to dislike about the application. It doesn't have a inbuilt tool to generate a schema documentation to export. Probably you need to install a plug in for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
