What do you like best about Oracle Exadata Cloud Service?

I love how well Exadata Cloud performs. We are able to process significantly more data than when we were just on Oracle RAC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Exadata Cloud Service?

The service is okay, EXCEPT when we have support requests. Even though we're on an older version of Oracle (12.2), we continue to find bugs in the platform. The timeliness for resolving these bugs leaves much to be desired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Oracle Exadata Cloud Service solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a developer on the World of Warcraft development team, we need to support an increasing number of players attempting to get into our game. In fact, most realm capacity issues are a direct result of limited database hardware resources. By using Exadata, we are increasing that throughput significantly. What do you like best about Oracle Exadata Cloud Service?

Exadata is what we use as our hardware platform with supper fast performance. We run peoplesoft and many other application and data retrieval and compliance tools (like OMT, BI tools) The hardware is dependable and is well supported by Oracle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Exadata Cloud Service?

Exadata is an expense and is required to run peoplesoft and we are tied into using this hardware platform. One of the other issue is we are required to upgrade this hardware many every three years, that adds to the cost of operating our system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Oracle Exadata Cloud Service?

We were able to consolidate numerous servers and database onto the Exadata platform with massive consolidation and great performance for mixed workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Exadata Cloud Service?

I am unable to use advanced feature due to having to license so many cores with Exadata. Platinum patching is inconsistent and more time consuming than we would like. We do rolling, hybrid and non-rolling patching but seem unable to achieve minimum down times desired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
