## OpenText Core Performance Engineering Reviews
  ### 1. One of the best solution for performance testing requirements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arpan J. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2023

**What do you like best about OpenText Core Performance Engineering?**

We do use this product regularly before any major release. Very efficient and easy to use solution. Very simplified way you can generate reports and multiple users can easily access it. Multi protocol support is a plus point as other products has more dependency on web/http. It is reliable to predict app scalability, also integrated automation and monitoring tool helps alot. Administrators can implement it without much issue, as it's very easy to integrate.

**What do you dislike about OpenText Core Performance Engineering?**

Nothing much to dislike. But things can be improved like UI/UX and funtions. Customer support also requires more improvement.

**What problems is OpenText Core Performance Engineering solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do manage a large scale infrutracture and it really helps to monitor and manage it's performance. It can predict based on various load parameters which really helps administrators.

  ### 2. Short and sleek tool for load testing purposes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arup Kumar P. | Software Engineer II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about OpenText Core Performance Engineering?**

This software helps our engineering team to test the application at times of heavy load. Not only that, its integration with other software is really effortless. Once the application is up and running and the developers are well versed with how to use the application, this application is very useful for testing the application with a heavy load. We load tested the applications manually before using this software but it was time-consuming and ineffective at one and the same time. Moreover, manual testing could not replicate the almost real traffic that the application is going to handle in the recent future. This software exposes the vulnerabilities at quite an early stage of development.

**What do you dislike about OpenText Core Performance Engineering?**

The learning curve is very steep and there is a dearth of online resources to take guidance.

**Recommendations to others considering OpenText Core Performance Engineering:**

It helps to test the application in troubled waters. This application does not seem useful at good times but when the traffic increases beyond a limit, then the testing capability of the software is recognised and rewarded. The strength of any application is tested when it is able to handle heavy traffic.

**What problems is OpenText Core Performance Engineering solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a huge amount of time for the developers and testers as they don't have to generate a large amount of load to test the application under pressure. This application does that efficiently without any hiccups. The time saved can be utilised by the developers to improve the application and develop other complex meaningful business logic.

  ### 3. Best scripting tool to do Performance Testing with a SaaS tool.

It is compatible with your existing VuGen scripts (web (http/html)) and you can scale up as much as required to hit the desired amount of users with minimum effort.

**What do you dislike about OpenText Core Performance Engineering?**

It is not compatible with all the different protocol types supported by VuGen, for example, SAP, Sockets, Citrix, etc.

**What problems is OpenText Core Performance Engineering solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are being able to offer Performance Testing capabilities to organizations with no experience in the subject and without the need to invest in infrastructure.
