There is some dislike of this tool like as ,you can use max 40 data per nodes per cluster. Also using AWS open search service, you are locking yourself into AWS ecosystem in long term contract.

**What problems is OpenSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped to maintain and deploying the environment very easily in comparison of other vendors. By using this service you can manage clusters very easy and it also helps to monitor ,patching and backups instead of using multiple tools that helped to avoid costs.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shimal H. | Junior Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2024

**What do you like best about OpenSearch?**

OpenSearch's easy integration with AWS is a real breakthrough. It seems like problems as simple as setting up clusters and visualization become easy and fast, taking away countless hours of work and frustration. Learned to develop multiple dashboards, so it was easier to detect the problems and debug the routine activities, resulting in more work done and improved efficiency. And the energy in addition to the consummate power and flexibility of the search engine make it a great tool, executing even the most complicated questions with all ease.

**What do you dislike about OpenSearch?**

Opposed to the other open-source solutions, it blows the budget for the small teams of amateurs or hobbyists. Moreover, I also have to wait for new versions to mature and, sometime, it becomes a pain, especially when I am under a tight deadline like never. My usage of the recommendations depends on the limitations for searchable fields, whereas there are ways to overcame the issues, more searchable field would be a benefit.

**What problems is OpenSearch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenSearch has been a powerful search and visualization tool and after I have discovered myself to also be part of the AWS ecosystem, it has become more useful to me. On the other hand, the cost and the slow adaptation to the new features will make me reconsider the purchase in case i am on a budget or if a cutting-edge technology enjoy priority.
