I would like to draw the attention of Agilent people to try to incorporate those features also. **What problems is OpenLab solving and how is that benefiting you?** Openlab is easy to integrate the HPLC with Mass spectrophotometer. There is no any error of communication between the two devices by using openlab and this is very time saving. ### 2. We can use various parameters like shouldering, tangent and it's auto integrate perfectly. **What do you dislike about OpenLab?** Since the openlab is high advance software, we need to use computer which has good RAM in it. Recent issue like communication errorsystem shut down, and software hangs for a minute to respond . **What problems is OpenLab solving and how is that benefiting you?** It gives advance feature for auto integration method preparation. It helps to use calibration method so that we can determine slope and directly find concentration of sample by using slope. We even had archival happened in duplicates and took a lot of storage **Recommendations to others considering OpenLab:** There are many archival systems but as far as it goes openlab give a safe environment and good backup architecture **What problems is OpenLab solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mainly archival is not something all instruments comes with and even if they do they will work only for that particular application but having openlab we can do archival for many application at same time ### 4. For example, it can give you real time intimation about the "out of the spec" results to take action and to run another sample. **Recommendations to others considering OpenLab:** OpenLab is an excellent tool to get the accurate, precise, reliable and user friendly results for the GC analysis for chemicals, effluents and environments samples. It is easy to use, simple for new users, yet, powerful enough that those familar with other ELNs can maneuver their way around to get powerful insights. **What do you dislike about OpenLab?** OpenLab is fantastic for both new users and older users alike but it lacks some features I really enjoy about other ELNs and is more costly than other services **What problems is OpenLab solving and how is that benefiting you?** I do think it is quite easy to use and the mobile design is leagues ahead of other platforms so it allows me to speed up my lab workflow tremendously. ### 10. H. | Aerosol and Analytical Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2019 **What do you like best about OpenLab?** The ease that you can use this software is nice, whether you are coming to it from Empower, Chemstation or TotalChrom, you will find familiar GUI's and control. **What do you dislike about OpenLab?** Like most Agilent programs, the version I use and most that I have seen are still running on Windows 7. When there is a problem with the software, you often learn a work-around and rarely are they ever addressed. **Recommendations to others considering OpenLab:** As far as data processing goes, this product works very well, but it is working to be better. For myself, in pharmaceuticals, the use of this product in a GxP environment can be challenging. This is more due to the current change from paper documentation to electronic documentation and Agilent has been working very hard to ensure that the future of OpenLAB integrates well into any GxP environment. **What problems is OpenLab solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've been in Chromatography for about 10 years now, mostly using Agilent equipment and Chemstation for controlling it. (Also have experience in Waters, Thermo, PerkinElmer and a few niche companies for things like TGA/DSC and ESR.) Currently I am using OpenLAB to process aerosol samples from inhalants using a HPLC. ### 12. Administration and control of instruments, streamlined data processing, and secure data for labs that require GMP standardized data. **What problems is OpenLab solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is a software that normally just runs Agilent instruments, but now it allows you to be instrument administrator to control users and create customized data reports that fits your settings.
