  ### 5. Its an interesting software but not a great one

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy C. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Spark?**

It was easy to set up and get running, The configuration was easy and took maybe 20 minutes to start getting clients on and ready to send messages. I like at the time that it was on premise.

**What do you dislike about Spark?**

It was constantly having issues with server disconnects and the client software was buggy and very inconsistent with alerts and usability. We had people just stop using it because it was frustrating.

**What problems is Spark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had never used an internal chat program and this server and client really gave us a taste of what we could use to connect our users and help people communicate with each other easier.

It was easy enough to use and it could be used by multiple agents in chat rooms or direct messages.

At the time we used it the service was pretty plain and didn't have any way to have meetings.

**Recommendations to others considering Spark:**

It is a very simple to use chat that employees in different countries can use.

Communicating with each other while on the phone with members. We used it to ask questions on policy and benefits without having to talk or leave the desk. We had multiple locations with different lines of business and this let us chat with them quickly.
