## Offensity Reviews
  ### 1. Awesome Budget-Wise Vulnerability Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymond C. | Systems Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

The best about Offensity is being affordable way on top of cybersecurity risks without hiring dedicated experts. Offensity has solutions for SMB and Security Teams. Also it has a compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and other regulations.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

I encounter some lags while scanning and the UI is not modern yet.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offensity helps the problem of lack of Cybersecurity professionals. It helps us by continuous automated scans and notify us if there were changes.

  ### 2. A Budget-Friendly Scanning Service!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

Offensity is a really good vulnerability scanner and the best part is that it's pricing is very reasonable, especially for smaller organizations. They have various pricing plans which scale up depending on the number of subdomains you need to monitor. However, we have found these to be quite cost-effective. The UI is quite intuitive and sleek, which makes it easier to use and implement. Scans are customizable and the reporting dashboard is also very good.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

I haven't come across any issues while using Offensity so far.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As infosec consultants, we and our clients often require attacks surface management tools and vulnerablity scanning tools. While there are many other tools in the market, Offensity is the one that provides the best value-for-money, especially for startups.

  ### 3. Security Lapses and Performance

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Long M. | Analyst, Oil & Energy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

Its settings are customizable but it is a bit difficult. Its not able to tailor scans for each team or individual scan. The online platform lacks in security. It is not helpful if the dashboard is show when scans are running.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

While Offensity provide insights into our infrastructure and helps us identify vulnerabilities there are some areas where we require improvements. The scans time is slow. The interface is not user friendly to make navigation.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offensity is a tool for detecting vulnerabilities in our system but it delays even malicious attackers exploit it. As a result, breaches and trust among our customers are destroyed. Cause delays in our management process. It is beneficial if the reporting provided information on identified liability.

  ### 4. Great tool for creating a baseline and identify vulnerabilities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

The tool is great for gaining a insight on the external infrastructure. As I entered new in the role as a CISO it was difficult to get an baseline / understanding what we currently operate. The company has grown in the last years and more and more systems and services were deployed with little documentation. The tool provided within hours a very broad but still understandable overview.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

The settings part is a little bit difficult. E.g Settings per team vs. settings per scan; scheduling of scans took me always a while to find

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overview of infrastructure
Identify vulnerabilities
Management report

  ### 5. Offensity: Online Penetration Testing and Security Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hafeezurrahman A. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

Feedback and reports and fixes most common issues with no cost.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

It's online which is both a feature for security and somewhat drawback.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing DNS gives feedback and report on domain and exposes issues, vulnerabilities and show possible troubleshooting.

  ### 6. Constant measurement of the current threat situation of our web application architecture

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Torben M. | IT Security, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

The dashboard is clearly laid out and the reports are management-ready.

The automated scans of the domains provide a constantly updated view of the threat situation of the various online services in place. You get a broader view of possible threats and can promptly determine whether the measures taken are mitigating them.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

We are very satisfied with the solution, but there is always room for improvement. The dashboard does not directly show when which scan is running or repeated. Especially after closing a vulnerability, a direct rescan button would be very helpful.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offensity Scan is deeply integrated in our monitoring processes. We constantly surveil all our online services, which previously could only be scanned randomly. In doing so, we were able to significantly improve the quality of our web services and, as a result, hardening our entire web application architecture. With this, we created a permanent added value for our IT security as well as our customer data that we protect.

  ### 7. Vulnerability scanning and more

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin L. | Information Security, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

Domain discovery for your unknowns/undocumented systems is a welcoming feature. The REST API helps with the automation of your vulnerability management. With the infrastructure overview, you get your own Shodan-like view with good filtering capabilities. Alerts for new critical vulnerabilities are also a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

More control over when scans happen would be a welcoming feature.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We found many undocumented services/domains that we can now cover with the provided vulnerability scans. When we get news about new vulnerabilities, we can quickly check which services might be affected by using the infrastructure view. Additionally, we started automation of our vulnerability management with the provided REST API.

  ### 8. Great vulnerability scanner which is constantly further developed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christoph M. | Senior Expert Cyber Security

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

Offensity is easy to use and the results provided are easy to understand.
We decided to use Offensity because it is all web based without us having to install and maintain any software. The targets defined are not only scanned once a year. They are scanned in very short time intervals. This allows us to have a better sleep because we know we are informed instantly once a vulnerability is detected.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

Currently there is no option like a rescan button available. Offensity is scanning in short intervalls but it would be even better to have a button to trigger a scan for a specific vulnerability.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a better overview of our external infrastructure. We get instantly informed regarding vulnerabilities being detected. Also, we have an easy to understand overview regarding the ports and services which are available to the world.

**Official Response from Stephan Pötschner:**

> Hi Christoph. Thanks for the excellent review! We will try hard to keep up our pace and further improve our service.

  ### 9. Great service for continuous security monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander H. | Head of DevOps & QA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

We are Offensity since almost day one. The service continuously scans your infrastructure and gives you a detailed report on found issues. Once issues are solved, Offensity will also mark them as resolved. We are still delighted to have this service help us with our security efforts.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

Not dislikes at all. A way to interactively start or re-run given scans would be a great feature.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated security tests

  ### 10. Perfect All in One monitoring service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan W. | IT Security Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

The Offensity team is proactively validating and improving their approach and do an excellent job in prioritizing issues. For example: Whenever there is something very critical upcoming, they immediately give you information about potential attack vectors in your environment and how to deal with new threats.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

There is nothing to dislike regarding this wonderfull service.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we run Offensity, we have a holistic overview of our public-facing attack surface, technologies in use, and exactly know where our weak spots are located.

**Official Response from Stephan Pötschner:**

> Hi Stefan! You're simply Awesome as well! Thank you for the great review!

  ### 11. Best way to see what an attacker notes first

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Offensity?**

Its important to not only have the technical perspective, you also need to get usefull reports. Offensity allows me to generate Management-Reports very easy.

**What do you dislike about Offensity?**

At the moment, there is nothing I dislike.

**What problems is Offensity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly, you know what vulnerabilities you have in your company, but you dont know what an external person knows about it. Offensity can help you to understand, what vulnerabilities are exposed.

**Official Response from Stephan Pötschner:**

> Hi! Thank you for taking the time to leave a wonderful review!
