I was able to set up the scraping job I needed with their help. I was getting a bit frustrated but after reviewing the help pages, tinkering with settings, and finally asking for help it now works flawlessly. One thing to note don't expect to be able to just click-point-scrape. Each website is built different, some HTML skills are needed. RTFM should get you most of the way there. Copying the data manually, switching back and forth to choose next property, it became very tedious. OctoParse allows me to automate the process. What I like best about Octoparse is its intuitive, no-code interface that makes web scraping accessible even for non-technical users like me. The point-and-click functionality is incredibly easy to use — I can simply load a website, click on the data I need, and Octoparse automatically identifies patterns and extracts the information. I also love that it offers ready-made templates for popular websites, which saves a ton of time when setting up new scraping tasks. Another standout is the automation features. I can schedule tasks to run in the cloud, export data in multiple formats (CSV, Excel, API), and let it run in the background while I focus on other things. Also, when websites update their structure or use a lot of JavaScript, it can take a bit of trial and error to adjust the workflow. Although the built-in browser and XPath support help a lot, there’s still a bit of a learning curve in those cases. Lastly, while the free plan is great for testing, some of the more advanced features like cloud extraction or scheduling are only available in the paid tiers — which might be limiting for beginners or small-scale users.
