"Best Screen Capture Software"
5/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

One of the main parts of my job is to teach my coworkers how to properly utilize various software applications, such as Microsoft Office, Netsuite, etc. The BEST thing about OBS is that is extremely easy to install and set up, which can be the most troublesome part for many I.T. professionals. The software is free is also a tremendous bonus as many companies do not have the resources or inclination to purchase screen capture software. The software allows me to capture just audio, video, audio and video, gaming, displays, texts, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

There has not been anything that I dislike with the software. Since I only use it for recording and not streaming, I am sure there are many more product features that I cannot speak about. I would have to say that the only issue that I had was when I first set it up and that was with me not knowing what I wanted to capture, since the display capture provides so many options for the user. "Great software, but be sure to change default stream settings"
4.5/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

I like the flexibility of being able to use my own overlays, my own commands, scripts, and plugins to truly make my streams my own. OBS is truly an incredible and invaluable software for streamers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

It isn't so much a dislike as it is a... I guess a mistake on my part. I didn't know that the default stream settings were set to where my output would be less than favorable. So, knowing that now, my streams have reached the quality I wanted from the beginning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fabulous tool for video editing and recording"
4/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

This tool is super cool I mean it is first of all free of cost and you can record your video as well as edit your video perfectly by using this software. So for me editing and recording both are good by using this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

Personally, I did not feel any drawback of this tool and yes it is free of cost because nowadays there are so many software's which is very costly so according to me only 1 limitation of this software is sometimes it takes too much time for processing rest all are good. "A Powerful Open-Source (FREE) Screen Recording & Video Editing Tool"
5/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

First things first - it's free!!! Since it's open-source software - it's free. I was surprised to hear that some other paid softwares are built on top of this open-source version - just adding a skin, adding some UI elements, etc. When it comes to features you get everything you need from a screen & video capture tool. The video capture with slides, webcam & audio is awesome - very easy to use & most used by me. You can record your group video chat. You can stream live as well as upload to your youtube channel with just one click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

There is a learning curve to using this tool. Sometimes if it's idle for a longer period of time it will hang/freeze. If the files are big then it will take a lot of time to process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Open Source that Works and so much more"
5/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

The cost is very helpful in addition to the fact it is packed with features. Being able to set up a professional-level live stream at this price is great and it is fairly easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

the UI is a bit clunky and some features are buried deep within the application. With a simple interface upgrade and maybe some layout changes this would be unstoppable compared to competitors. The only competitor that I frequently use is Streamlabs which is based off of OBS and the open source code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I could say it's the best app for streaming"
5/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

Simplicity is the best thing about this app. Even without much knowledge, you can start streaming in 15 minutes. Or record video, or do both at the same time. The program allows you to fully manage your broadcast and not have to worry about configurations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

I haven't found any downsides to this app, and you could say it's the best choice I've ever tried. Especially considering it's free. It's probably a head start over its paid counterparts and has more features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great product for free, definitely requires research"
4/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free video recording and streaming software that allows our church to Livestream our worship service without spending extra money. There are a lot of capabilities, and the software allows for some very cool aspects, such as including PowerPoint slides, our logo, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

It seems like the software has been glitchy since the last couple of updates. We also changed cameras simultaneously, so it is taking longer to determine what is causing our issues. The fact that it is free also comes with the downside of not having comprehensive customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"OBS is a terrific solution for reaching your audience!"
5/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

I enjoy the ability to change the scenes, have multiple people on the streams, and the options to be creative. I can use videos from the pc and also bring my guests in through practically any platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

If there's something I would like to see corrected, it would have the be the amount of resources this program takes on my pc. My cooling fan shouldn't have to turn on if I'm streaming just me and a low resource requirement game. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One to Rule them All"
5/5
What do you like best about OBS Studio?

Top of the line for streamers at an affordable cost of FREE! Very little knowledge is needed to get yourself streaming, but it has the capability of more advanced features. Tons of tutorial videos out there to help you along the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

To do some stuff, there is a bit of a learning curve. Some things are not as intuitive as it should. The UI is very bland with a basic approach, so it is not visually appealing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
