What do you like best about OBS Studio?

I like how it is easy to use this Software, even if user has never used this kind of Software before. It is easy for setup and overall quality is very good ( both audio and video ). I like how user can easily set things up and select from which source OBS is going to receive some information ( from which Source is sound going to be recorded for instance, from microphone or from Desktop ). What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

For new users it would be really good to have a sort of an intro, via which they can even faster dive in this Software and which would go thru basic settings for normal recording for instance, because this Software is really good and has good quality, but without some intro some people will turn around to look for some other alternative ( which I doubt will be better than this Software is to be honest ). What problems is OBS Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?

This Software is good for recording general Troubleshooting of some issue which I may encounter ( either on my job or while checking my own laptop for instance ). It is also good for making recordings of online class, especially in the time of the Corona Virus, so we can review them later again. Besides this, I used this Software for smaller QA Testing for one online platform, for which I had to Submit smaller recording of the encountered issue on the Website or some Software. OBS is free to use, that's, without a doubt, the best thing about the product. It includes all the features provided by premium software and all for free is amazing. It's also very easy to use. I mainly started using the software for my personal youtube channel to live stream and never looked for an alternate ever since. you can easily add sources like videos, audio, screen capture, video capture, images, and all to the app and it keeps recording it. the setting is amazing, you have the option to choose the required resolution, quality, etc to get a good feel for the software. one of the biggest advantages is its ability to record videos in H.264. which saves you tons of space without compromising the quality. What do you like best about OBS Studio?

OBS Studio is software developed for video recording and internet streaming. It is currently at version 25.0.8, which was released on April 26 of this year.

It may be free and open-source software, but its graphical interface is one of the most professional I have seen. Many streamers who broadcast live use this software, as it has quite advanced options.

Without further ado, Open Broadcaster Software currently has no alternative, due to its functionalities. It does not excessively consume RAM, and its professional interface, which I mentioned earlier but emphasize again because it is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

Recommendations to others considering OBS Studio:

Currently, I use this software mainly to record the conferences I have via Microsoft Teams with the 4GB of RAM that my device has, and it runs super well for me, the image never freezes or anything like that.

What problems is OBS Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?

Open Broadcaster Software allows me to configure it to my liking. In the settings section, there is a section called shortcuts, where we can customize ALL! its functions, from starting the recording, pausing, resuming the recording, stopping the recording, that is; we can assign shortcuts to all the functions of Open Broadcaster Software. I only mention 4 because they are the ones I use the most, but there are many more.

I can easily adjust the video resolution to optimize the video size, depending on the duration. I can also edit the FPS per second, output resolution, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OBS Studio?

What I like about Open Broadcaster Software is the ease with which I can record my screen with very good quality. Additionally, I like the ease with which screenshots can be taken and customized. It also allows working with multiple sources, mixing them, and creating a perfect broadcast. Completely intuitive and easy to use. OBS is a fantastic utility for any screen capture needs, whether for creating tutorials, recording webcam or external camera video with overlay, recording, or capturing multiple sources. The scene/profile management is a lifesaver. The ability to use keyboard shortcuts is something that is greatly appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OBS Studio?

It is not possible to link to an audio file as a source. Also, it has a slightly high RAM consumption when making recordings. I didn't like the interface when I looked at it for the first time. I also didn't like that there is no possibility to do live streaming with other people in different locations with OBS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
