I like the simplicity of generating custom address that points to an ip that changes continuously. It is typical to find ISP that do not assign you an ip for free (or even do not assign it at all). With this tool it is possible to create DNS entry for free that expires in 30 days, or to pay a small fee to generate DNS entries that never expires. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about No-IP.com? I think that the version that expires in 30 days is quite limited, since you can generate a maximum of 3 free hostnames for each account. I used no-ip.com to generate an hostname for my ip camera without paying additional fees to my isp. I generated also an hostname for my company's office alarm. The free option requires you to renew your hostname every 30 days, but they send you an email and it's super easy to renew (and it's a very small price to pay for this great service). Their free tier is perfect for many applications and testing of the service. Playing games with friends with an easy-to-remember hostname, easy remote access, etc. No-Ip.com is easy to set-up (it only takes a few minutes) and all the configuration menus and options are straightforward. Previously we didn't need nice-looking domain names for some of our internal operations, but keeping a list of external IPs was also annoying. No-IP was the perfect solution - cheap, easy to remember domain names instead of IP address without the expense or investment of needing to purchase a number of domain names for our testing environment.
