  ### 1. Great API management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

Sentinet stands out for its ease of use and user-friendly interface. Despite its simplicity, it offers a rich set of features and is highly customizable. The UI allows for extensive configuration and management, but what truly makes it powerful is the ability to extend its capabilities through .NET Framework extensions. The support team is another strong point, they are responsive, efficient, and always helpful.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

The main drawback is the use of SQL Server for log storage. When the database grows large (over 1 TB), it can cause noticeable slowdowns in the UI.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sentinet helps us address several key challenges in API management.
It provides a centralized and secure way to expose, monitor, and control our APIs, which is essential for maintaining governance and compliance across our systems.
Sentinet simplifies complex integration scenarios and allows us to manage APIs .

  ### 2. Have been using Sentinet for over 5 years.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laimis G. | Sr. Manager Integration Systems, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

Numerous businesses often need to establish connections with external vendors, resulting in a lack of control over the web services they utilize and the incoming data. In such situations, the conventional approach requires the development of custom code to handle this data. However, with the introduction of Sentinet, the need for custom code becomes obsolete. Sentinet empowers users to swiftly make the required adjustments within its platform, eliminating the necessity for extensive coding. By leveraging Sentinet, businesses can save valuable time, reduce costs, and mitigate potential future complications, providing a hassle-free solution.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

The application becomes a bit slow to retrieve the tracking data once the database gets over 1 terabyte in size.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool does everything that it is advertised to do and much much more.

  ### 3. Best API Management Software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

What I like most about Nevatech Sentinet is the fact that both its installation and initial configuration are quite simple tasks to perform, compared to other software where you have to spend several hours trying to configure everything perfectly. , with Sentinet, this is not the case. In terms of interface, it has a fairly powerful and simple user view that allows me to easily navigate through the entire system without any problem, easily, quickly and safely, as far as performance is concerned, it has been working for us. perfection, without any problem or inconvenience during our use, something that is a great plus since it avoids severe headaches

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

When trying to migrate from one development environment to another it can become quite an odyssey, because there the migration process is quite complex, extensive and above all long, for which I think they should try to simplify this a bit. process.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been of great help to me to manage and customize my APIs in a quite simple, simple and practical way at the same time, in such a way that I can easily use them in my applications without any future inconvenience and thus be able to exploit all their potentialities .

  ### 6. Sentinet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

What I love with Sentinet is that you get from zero to hero in no time. Installation and set up is very easy, admin console too. The whole GUI experience is very easy to understand.
Day to day work with Sentinet is easy. If you have a WSDL or a swagger you have the API up and running in minutes with all bells and whistles.
The Sentinet environment is robust and hardly (if ever) has any errors. I've worked with Sentinet for approx 6 years and I have never had any problems with the runtime environment. A great product which have helped my client a lot.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

The only negative view from me would be that the installation account needs to be part of the sysadmin role on SQL server.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

API traffic within the organisation and to and from internet

  ### 7. Sentinet does what it is supposed to do very well

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David F. | Managing Partner, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

Provides an easy way to manage and secure your API's. You no longer have to build in some sort of security mechanism into the API code itself. Just let Sentinet handle that overhead via some configuration. It has also been extremely useful in creating custom APIs "in front of" existing APIs that would not normally be exposed to the public. It allows for reusing those internal APIs in such a way that we can save time and money reusing them.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

Migrating through environments (dev, qa, staging and production) is not as easy as it could be (or maybe there is something I do not know about).

**Recommendations to others considering Nevatech Sentinet:**

Ask for a trial to ensure the product meets your specific needs.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Core benefits for us have been managing (sometimes multiple versions) and securing our APIs. We have also been able to leverage some customization features within Sentinet to provide NetSuite authentication to avoid having to build that into our APIs. This saves lots of extra code sitting in the APIs that really doesn't need to be there. The API can focus on what it should be doing and not the overhead stuff that is not really needed within an API. Lastly, the interface is easy to use and the typical dev ops person can pick it up very quickly. This has helped allow devops to manage deployments instead of getting the developers always involved in the process. Overall this saves the company money and also spreads the knowledge so a couple of people are never the bottleneck.

  ### 8. Great API management tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaetan S. | Chef de projet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

It provide simple way to compose from physical services and change authentication style is easy

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

Migrating through environments is not easy

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a lot of APIs with services that change regularly and we have heavy clients for which we have no control over updating. Sentinet allows us to modify our physical APIs without impacting customers. it also allows us to easily display any service for an external consumer with a suitable type of security.

The UI is incredibly intuitive and powerful, an excellent combination when managing APIs for a large complex organization. We have also been impressed by the depth and breadth of the technical support provided by Nevatech. The tool allows an incredible level of flexibility due to the ability to develop custom components that can be easily deployed and executed within the tool.

  ### 13. Great automation capabilities with Sentinet

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geir T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

We are very happy with Sentinet and it’s proven to be a robust application meeting the needs our business has; it’s a great governance tool and provides easy automated implementation in new environments.

Key benefits as we use them are:
-	Flexible in regards of automated configuration of the services
o	We continuously and automatically deploy ~1500 operations with different access control, transformations etc fully automated
-	Stable and reliable (not a root cause of downtime as far as we can remember with approximately 5 years in production)
-	Great capabilities regarding security, access control and monitoring
-	Low overhead (latency) on services - with access control and extensive logging
-	Great support from Nevatech
-	Good separation between core services and logging
o	Asynchronous logging of all service calls (no speed decrement for consumer while logging)
o	Database can be offline without interrupting services
-	Easy licensing model per server (no advanced calculations or hidden costs)

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

-	No powershell support (we are a MS house and rely heavily on powershell for all our devops needs, and although they have different APIs that gets the job done, they really should have a powershell module)
-	Admin console still using Silverlight (waiting for Sentinet 5.0 where it is removed, which will happen in this quarter)
-	A bit cumbersome to automate (flexible, but somewhat cumbersome). But when set up, it’s easy to incorporate changes

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a centralized hub for securely handling all our services with access control through different authentication protocols, and a hub for logging and troubleshooting all our services. It was essential that it could be deployed to environments fully automated. Sentinet solved all of these requirements.

With fully automated configuration of all our services, we no longer have to worry about one environment being different from the others and know that production is configured identical to the test environments.

  ### 14. Sentinet + Automation = 0-touch Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin W. | Principal Engineer, Human Resources, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

The best thing about Sentinet so far has been the company behind it. Nevatech has been very responsive to our questions, concerns, and requests for adjustments to the product.

There are a number of features of the Sentinet product that stand out. The first is how simple it is to set up and configure. There's a small learning curve to understand the terminology used in the product and relate that back to your own view of the world, but once that's achieved then everything just "makes sense" and setting up APIs to work through Sentint is a breeze.

Sentinet is itself an API-first product. So it is also easy to establish some automation in your deployment pipeline to provision new and updated API services as well as API clients (Access Rules). We have achieved a "0-touch" model where our applications are released, Sentinet is kept current, and there is no manual intervention required.

The gateway (Node) component of the Sentinet product is also designed to support High-Availability in that the gateway can be load balanced AND it will continue to function even when the backing repository or database becomes unavailable. Because of this, we have created an automated process to deploy (and upgrade) the ENTIRE Sentinet platform in a Highly-Available manner where the entire platform in production can be upgraded in <10 minutes with ZERO downtime.

Another feature of Sentinet that we have leveraged is the ability to aggregate multiple APIs into, what appears to the client, as 1 API. This enables us to separate the physical deployments of endpoints so resources like /cars, /cars/{carId}, and /cars/{carId}/tires can appear to the client as 1 cohesive API while in reality those 3 endpionts are hosted by 3 different backing services.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

There are a few quirks with Sentinet that we have had to work around although none of them have been show stoppers. And, all of our major concerns have either been already addressed with a newer version or are in Nevatech's development pipeline to be addressed.

**Recommendations to others considering Nevatech Sentinet:**

After having used Sentinet for just over a year, and having evaluated other gateway products, if your technology stack includes Microsoft and .NET, then Sentinet is a no-brainer.

If you do not leverage .NET, Sentinet may still be a great solution for you based on Nevatech's licensing model and the ability to tie into the product via it's APIs.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main business problem we have set out to address is the overall management of our API portfolio.

This includes having a centralized location where APIs can be discovered & attributes about each API can be maintained, we can track the usage of all of our endpoints by the client consuming them, we have a simplified approach to debugging problems in higher environments (not everyone has to log everything), and we can centralize all the high-level logging and correlation tracking in one place (again, so we don't have to keep rewriting that logic). We have already realized these benefits using the Sentinet product.

We plan to continue leveraging more features of Sentinet to help us better govern the APIs that we manage (spike arrets, quotas, SLAs, etc.) but have not gotten to that yet.

  ### 15. Easy management of our webservices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus A. | Independent Consultant, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

Easy to monitor webservices when needing to check the state of individual request to help our internal customers with problems with their requests.
Userfriendly interface even though its Silverlight. :)
Based on .NET and WCF, it suits our Microsoft enviroment very well.
Great at establishing better security for webservices lacking proper security on thier own.
Provides an good and update catalog of webservices

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

GUI based on Silverlight, but as it is to be removed in the coming 5.0 version that will no longer be a issue. :)

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A quicker, cheaper and secure way to publish webservices to external partners.
Better understanding of how we use our webservices

  ### 16. Enterprise SOAP and REST services

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linus A. | Owner, Integration Architect, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

How fast and easy it is to setup a new integration. Within a couple of minutes a new service can be published with full security, functionality and logging.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

I would have liked Sentinet to be able to consume a REST service and expose a SOAP service.

**Recommendations to others considering Nevatech Sentinet:**

Easy to use, and very competent. If there is anything missing, you can build your own components and add them to Sentinet.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sentinet helps us consolidate many internal services to one external platform. It handles authentication and authorization in a secure way, for all our services, out of the box.
The built in logging has given us many new ways to view and visualize our integration flows.
Sentinet is a great toolbox for efficiently creating deploying and maintaining integrations using SOAP, REST, NET.TCP

  ### 17. Sentinet is a great product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

Sentinet's easy-setup saved up a lot of our time on configuring it and get it up and running. It was done as quick as in just half a day. The user interface is so intuitive that we do not need to reference to the documentation all the time. Support response is fast and can understand our issues and questions rapidly.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

I was wondering why Sentinet was not on the Gartner MQ so that other users could know about its capabilities.

**Recommendations to others considering Nevatech Sentinet:**

Look at the functions that you need now, no need to chase after those features that will never use.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A right-sized API management tool that provides all functions we need with very simple setup and maintenance effort.

  ### 18. Great SOA Governance and API Management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Réjean O. | Architecte de solutions principal et leader de pratique, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2017

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

I like the combination of SOA Governance and API Management in one tool.
The centralized repository gives us the capability of tracking and documenting business-critical services, APIs and all dependencies.

It is very easy to install and maintain, security is state-of-the-art. The authorization mechanisms are very sophisticated.

Nevatech’s support is fantastic with very fast turnaround times for any questions we have.

**What do you dislike about Nevatech Sentinet?**

Sentinet is a well-thought through product, I cannot find anything to dislike. It is missing a API Portal for external developer access, but I hear this is already in the roadmap to be developed.

**Recommendations to others considering Nevatech Sentinet:**

If you need a good tool to manage your Business API, Sentinet is a most.

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to integrate with Microsoft-specific and non-Microsoft technologies and expose services utilizing these to the outside world, for mobile applications and other API consumers have shortened project life-cycles and provided us with very good solutions.

  ### 19. Sentinet Review

  ### 21. Outstanding API Management product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jörgen N. | Business Architect, Government Administration, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Nevatech Sentinet?**

I like the ability to track software assets and metrics
Without a centralized repository, it would be difficult for the us to track existing software assets and their operational metrics. This would result in a large number of business-critical services operating in an unmanaged environment with poor visibility.

Improve security, access control, and monitoring

Sentinet provides a non-intrusive solution that enables a service architecture with high security and access control. Built-in Sentinet security management features provided encryption wherever needed without incremental software costs.

Speed development and maintenance

Sentinet provides extended supported for multiple communication protocols, which extends the reach of SOA services by enterprise applications and mobile devices.

We are centralizing our web services, adding a security layer and monitoring usage/metrics

  ### 24. Great API management product

**What problems is Nevatech Sentinet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sentinet helps Marlink to centralize all SOAP and REST API's on premise. It is convenient to secure our BizTalk web services in Sentinet. It also helps us to expose API to our customers. We can tailor and combine our API's per use case.
