NetLogo's natural language and simplicity make it easier to learn and utilize both by first-time modelers and experienced modelers. The ability to quickly prototype and visually represent agent models is immensely powerful. Well-documented and with a good modeling community and model base.
NetLogo streghths lies in how it makes agent-based simulation accessible. The model library is full of many research, education, or experimentation starting points. The system supports interactive experimentation with switches and sliders and graphical displays to immediately observe the effect of a parameter change. The system also provides integration with tools such as BehaviorSpace to batch-run and HubNet to work classroom participation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Advanced users might find the language restrictive. The IDE feels a bit outdated, and its capabilities for debugging or profiling code are limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
