It can be quite complex. **What do you dislike about Naviplan?** It I hard to learn, definitely not the most user friendly. It can be hard to find where specific types of information get entered and how to make sure it is totally accurate. **What problems is Naviplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Naviplan is a financial planning program, which let's you enter detailed data about individuals and couples life situations and financial goals. They can see at a glance if they are on track or not ### 2. Using the foundational plan tool to illustrate retirement funding is great. **What do you dislike about Naviplan?** Often it can be more than you need. Illustrations can be confusing for clients and controlling what data is used in the illustrations can be esoteric and hard to track. Often explaining the assumptions you're making in their financial plan can be very confusing to clients. **What problems is Naviplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Naviplan is solving having a central database for our clients information that's secure and easy to track. This makes processing time and information easy to record as soon as we receive it from clients. ### 3. Information on retirement, loans, accounts, bills, income, its all there and able to be utilized for calculating goals. **What do you dislike about Naviplan?** It isn't very user friendly, it is a bit difficult to figure out how to navigate all of the different areas you can use, and even being taught by people who use it regularly, there seem to be inconsistencies such as the program randomly labeling couples as single. **What problems is Naviplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Naviplan lets us look at financial planning for clients and calulating what to do with their finances and money. Where to save, invest, and how much they can afford to live on, etc. ### 4. You can be very simple with the tool or go super detailed, depending on your client's circumstances. **What do you dislike about Naviplan?** It can be a bit complicated if going into super detailed-level, but just needs a bit of practice and training to get used to. **What problems is Naviplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Financial Planning is made easy with built-in calculation logic. ### 5. Decent Financial Planning Software **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Joel S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2020 **What do you like best about Naviplan?** It is a very powerful financial planning software tool that provides a lot of great information and reports that can be reviewed and analyzed to ensure clients are able to achieve their financial goals and dreams. **What do you dislike about Naviplan?** It is a bit clunky and there are many variables that need to be adjusted/entered to ensure the financial analysis is accurate. It is not very user friendly and is not a good tool to be client facing. **What problems is Naviplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using Naviplan, we have modeled different financial scenarios for our clients and run Monte Carlo scenarios to illustrate the clients probability of success in any given scenario. I have found the visuals to be very helpful when discussing the analysis with clients. ### 6. It is an incredibly in depth financial planning tool that has an abundance of tools and reports including Monte Carlo. It includes up to date tax information based on your location. Investment account can be entered individually with separate rates of return and it will show the possible affects of re-balancing and re-investment strategies. Naviplan shows Side by side financial comparisons between strategies so clients can see the benefits or downfalls of each. It can be used for any client although we tend to use it for only high net worth clients. **What do you dislike about Naviplan?** My only real complaint about Naviplan is the way the Corporations revenue flows through. We deal with a lot of Medical Professionals that have Professional Corporations and the cash flow does not work the way we need it to. That being said, they have or are introducing Private Corporations in a new module but the pricing is already high and we have not decided if it is worth it. **What problems is Naviplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** It calculates and visualizes how different strategies will affect the outcome of a clients retirement plan. This is an incredible selling tool for any adviser if you have the money to invest in it, it is worth it. It will be sure to impress. ### 7. Also, the recommendation feature could use more autonomy. **What problems is Naviplan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Naviplan helps me make recommendations for client account.
