I used MultiDrive to clone my old HDD to an SSD, and one thing I really liked is that you’re not limited to cloning from inside Windows. You can create a WinPE USB, boot from it, and clone the system drive while it’s offline. For me, that feels like a much safer way to migrate a Windows disk because the OS isn’t actively using the drive during cloning. The interface is modern and pretty easy to understand. I also really like that I can run a backup, clone another drive, and wipe a third drive at the same time.
Pause and resume is another useful feature, especially for longer cloning or backup jobs. You don’t always want to keep everything running for hours without interruption.
What I’d like to see next is 1-to-N cloning, especially for cases where you need to prepare several drives from the same source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The progress bar can be a bit jumpy during longer overwrite passes, making it look like it stalled right before finishing a block. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
