What is multicash in G2DM, and what problem is it built to solve?

Symantec End-user Endpoint Security is used to protect workstations, laptops, and servers from malware, viruses, and other endpoint threats. Teams also use it to manage security policies and monitor devices from a central console.

What company sizes and industries is multicash in G2DM the best fit for?

Symantec End-user Endpoint Security appears across small, mid-market, and enterprise organizations, with users represented in several industries. The strongest clusters include:
  • Company sizes: Small businesses and enterprises, with mid-market organizations represented as well.
  • Industries: Events services, marketing and advertising, information technology and services, and financial services.

How long does it take to implement multicash in G2DM across a team?

Implementation is most often reported as taking under one month, though larger or more complex deployments can take longer.

What customer support options does multicash in G2DM provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Support is a mixed part of the experience: users describe helpful, knowledgeable assistance, but others report slow responses and difficulty getting issues resolved. The contrast matters if your team expects hands-on help with technical or licensing problems.

What is the experience like for teams switching to multicash in G2DM from another tool?

Teams have moved to Symantec End-user Endpoint Security from endpoint and antivirus tools such as Trellix, SentinelOne, Kaspersky, Microsoft Defender, and Norton. The reasons include finding a better-priced option, reducing the performance burden of a previous product, and seeking stronger or more manageable endpoint protection; users also describe straightforward deployment and centralized policy management after the transition.

What features or capabilities could make multicash in G2DM even more useful?

The most useful improvements would make everyday administration clearer and reduce the operational burden of scans and endpoint management. Recurring requests include:
  • Refresh the management interface and simplify navigation to settings and configuration.
  • Reduce CPU and memory use, especially during full scans and updates, to limit slowdowns on endpoints.
  • Make reports easier to find, configure, and interpret.
  • Provide endpoint encryption as part of the protection offering.

Is multicash in G2DM considered safe and secure for handling data?

Users describe Symantec End-user Endpoint Security as a useful layer of protection for endpoint devices, with threat detection, blocking, quarantine, and centralized monitoring helping protect systems and data. Confidence is not absolute: users also describe missed threats, including malware or ransomware, and occasional false positives that can disrupt legitimate files or applications. For teams handling sensitive data, it is worth validating detection coverage and application compatibility in their own environment.

"My experience with Symantec was brief but the solution definitely works."
4/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

Just like any other endpoint security, Symantec is known for having some of the best safeguards which allow you to protect your most confidential data through secure access, and in turn this keeps the people or employees productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

For Symantec endpoint security, their downside is the local installation of their solution. When Symantec endpoint is installed locally on an ICT environment, it is vulnerable to attacks, and if the answer is brought down, then the whole ICT infrastructure will be in trouble. "Endpoint security solution"
4.5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

One step solution for security which provide security over each level Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

Things are most likely working well so found no issue but high cpu utilization which is quite minimal Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Symantec Endpoint Protection needed a backup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

I like the centralized management feature that allows administrators to perform routines remotely and even schedule tasks that need to run in the endpoints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

I've been a user of Symantec Endpoint Protection since 2010, and I can say that they have not improved their user interface all these years. The major incident was why I parted ways with SEPM; my network was penetrated by malware that it failed to detect and stop spreading within my network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best AV for Endpoints"
4.5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

The best part of this product is that "it releases three updates daily for endpoints to protect them from Zero-day attacks." And endpoint takes an update from Symantec Manager, GUP (Group Update Provider) and LU (Live Update). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

The worst part of this product is that "sometimes the symlink file mismatch and location of the endpoint show differ on Symantec Manager". And we need to replace this file again. It takes time for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Symantec Endpoint Protection: Endpoint multilayer protection"
5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

Symantec Endpoint Protection is a multilayer endpoint protection solution (antivirus, personal firewall, IPS, application and device control, host integrity, memory exploit mitigation, …). It provides effective protection against actual threats. The solution has simplified management and a logical interface. The architecture is natively scalable. Deployment tools are also available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

The product misses some configuration templates to accelerate configuration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Symantec Endpoint Protection Suite not what is use to be!"
2.5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

Traditionally, this product has worked very well, although a bit bloated, for both servers and client machines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

We have used this product for many years. Since going to Broadcom, both support and product functionality have fallen off drastically. Clients seem to be very resource (memory) intensive and garner a lot of complaints from our user base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use"
4.5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

This is one of the best applications in security and it's very easy to use. This application is very easy to use and for security purposes nowadays it's very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

When we secure the data, sometimes the speed may be slow, but it is very rare. Traffic flow is increasing day by day on this, which is why we have to face speed issues sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

The new cloud service was easy to setup and maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

Does not detect as well as other AV's. Takes up too many resources. Years of issues in the older software makes me not trust anything they make. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The new Symantec"
5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

The rate of product development is astonishing, and it has restored confidence in the Symantec brand with management and users. The broad device coverage is second-to-none - Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android. Server, Desktop/Laptop, and Mobile devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

There have been some issues when moving from on-premise deployment to SEP, although these are being ironed out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Traditional AV - Next gen AV"
4.5/5
What do you like best about multicash in G2DM?

The best traditional Av (next-gen AV soon) to protect our environment safe and secure. They added Linux support as well and supported almost all the latest builds of windows and MAC. Simple SEPM will help to design the policy and implement it across the sites. It is suitable for larger clients, which is more than 10k. Daily def will have coverage for more vulnerabilities. WSS integration was the best notch of SEP WSS. We recently integrated SEP with WSS; it works perfectly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about multicash in G2DM?

Frequent version update irritates a lot. If you have a more significant number of clients, it's challenging to upgrade the clients frequently, and non of the customers will agree to the same. Everyone might be having a lot of internal approval processes for upgrades. by the time we finish all the approval processes, one version of Symantec will release another one. It's very irritating sometimes when the lower version has some product bug and no other choice than to upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
