Montara is an easy to use tool to enable data analysts to prepare their own tables for downstream analysis and business needs. Our data engineers use dbt for data transformation for our core tables - but it was too complex for our analysts (required learning stuff like jinja, yml and git and didn't fit our workflows). We implemented Montara about 8 months ago and the team loves it. No more waiting for data engineers, and the AI agents take care of most of the work - we focus on the SQL business logic. Montara is the analytics' team everyday work tool, helping us work together seamlessly, and maintain clear version control. The ability to automatically test new code inside the sandbox, while verifying data integrity is a must for us in order to keep production data in the highest standards. The integration with Databricks and Quicksight is good. Its strong coding co-pilot and support from the team make it an important contribution to our output. There are many features that I like about Montara, the one specific feature which I like the most is AI's smart tips during data validations - Which is very useful and saving lot of time and also which enhances the best practices by giving the quality data as an outcome. Out of all the product Montara provides - Data Modeling, Al Companion, Data Pipelines, Data Observability and Deployment Management, what I like the best is Data Piplelines and Data modeling. I used to work with flink and spark, but due to ease of use I moved to Montara. Even the implementation is very easy using Montara. I have started to use it very frequently.
