## About MODALIZER+
MODALIZER+ is professional software for converting non-DICOM clinical evidence into enterprise imaging systems. The software captures and transmits medical images and videos from scanners, webcams, endoscopes, PDFs, and video files into patient records with DICOM compliance. It automates media wrapping into DICOM objects and uses the DICOM Modality Worklist Service to ensure demographic accuracy, eliminating manual entry errors. Version 7 features an updated interface, DICOM quality assurance capabilities, and an advanced DICOM Editor for editing data elements at study, series, or instance levels with a review panel for verification. The software supports extended character sets and non-DICOM file viewing via drag-and-drop. Native capture applications work with scanners and cameras. The video-to-DICOM converter handles standard formats, including HEVC, creating files up to 4GB. The corporate edition integrates with Microsoft Active Directory for organization-wide deployment.

**What do you like best about MODALIZER+?**

A genuine multitool for medical imaging - V7 is a big step up

I've been using MODALIZER+ as my go-to for handling DICOM data, and V7 makes it even more indispensable. It's not just a viewer - it's a full mini-PACS, virtual modality, and QA toolkit rolled into one.

What stands out in this release:

Extended annotation tools (GSPS) - much more control when marking up studies
Study/Series level editing - a real time-saver for DICOM QA work
Non-DICOM viewer - being able to convert media straight into DICOM and attach it to a new or existing study is a great addition
HEVC video support and image inversion round out the viewing toolkit nicely
Full extended charset support - finally, no more headaches with non-Latin patient/study metadata
The fresh UI makes navigating all of this noticeably smoother
And it still has everything that made it useful before: the DICOM viewer with tag editing, a built-in DICOM listener and local archive, the DICOM converter, support for PDF/video/JPEG/JPEG2000/SR objects, DICOMDIR export, full query/retrieve against a PACS (C-FIND, C-MOVE, and C-GET), and a complete MWL/MPPS workflow.

If you work with medical imaging data - clinically, technically, or for QA - this covers an enormous amount of ground in one application. Highly recommended.

**What do you dislike about MODALIZER+?**

It's only available for Windows.  A MacOS version can be very helpful

**What problems is MODALIZER+ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it helps communicate with PACS and MWL systems from a normal PC, and the conversion tool allows producing standard DICOM files from any media acquired by cameras\endoscope or anything that yields video\image\pdf media, or to connect modalities to the PACS in a secure way
