Moby Audit Reviews & Product Details

Moby Audit is an Excel add-in designed to streamline and automate key aspects of financial auditing directly within the familiar Excel environment. By integrating advanced AI capabilities, Moby Audit assists auditors in performing audit tests, general ledger analyses, and financial statement tie-outs efficiently, ensuring that all processes remain within Excel for seamless workflow integration. One of the primary features of Moby Audit is its ability to automate audit testing. Users can input their sample data and related documents, and the AI agent processes up to 200 documents, totaling approximately 4,000 pages, in minutes. The agent sorts, matches, and analyzes the documents, extracting the necessary values and populating the workpaper according to the firm's methodology. Each figure is linked to its source document, providing a reliable audit trail and facilitating easy verification. In addition to audit testing, Moby Audit offers comprehensive general ledger analysis capabilities. By uploading the general ledger, the AI agents generate a documented Excel workbook that includes a mapped trial balance, financial statements with ratios comparing the current year to the previous year, and quantified variances against predefined thresholds. The analysis also identifies accounts and entries that require further attention and drafts pertinent questions for client discussions. This process is completed in approximately three minutes, significantly reducing the time traditionally required for such analyses. Financial statement tie-outs are another critical function of Moby Audit. Users can upload financial statements, and the tool recalculates sums, compares each line item with prior year data and the trial balance, and produces a ticked document indicating verified figures. This feature ensures accuracy and consistency in financial reporting and allows auditors to focus on reviewing discrepancies rather than performing manual checks. Moby Audit is built with enterprise-grade security standards. It is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant, with data residency options in both the EU and the US. The platform employs end-to-end encryption, ensuring that no third party can access user data. Additionally, Moby Audit does not use client data to train AI models, maintaining strict data isolation per firm. The tool is available through a straightforward pricing model. The Essential plan is priced at €29 per user per month, excluding tax, and includes all features such as audit test automation, general ledger analysis, and financial statement tie-out. This plan accommodates processing between 1,500 to 4,500 pages per month, with the option to add credits on demand for additional capacity. For larger organizations requiring more than 50 licenses, the Enterprise plan offers custom pricing and includes additional features like SAML & SSO integration, custom service level agreements, and tailored integrations. By integrating Moby Audit into their workflow, financial auditors can significantly reduce manual processing time, enhance accuracy, and maintain a comprehensive audit trail, all within the familiar Excel environment.
