## Microsoft Stream Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to use recording platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie P. | Data Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

It is easy to navigate and use, even for people who aren't necessarily "tech-y". I can record videos for other staff members and they can access them without having to log into another program, since it is included in our Microsoft subscription. I use Stream on a weekly basis to record trainings and demonstrations for our staff.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

I wish there were default settings that could be applied to every recording, versus having to manually check each setting every time.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a large staff that work in offices across a large geographic area. It can be difficult to schedule everyone for a training. Some people also learn better if they can see a demonstration of instructions. Stream makes it easy for me to communicate procedures or updates with everyone in my organization.

  ### 2. Microsoft Stream - don't write it, record it and play it!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco R. | Microsoft SharePoint Modern Experience Site Owner with Power Platform, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream is a great tool to record meeting and screen capturing. It is fully embedded with Microsoft Teams, but it is also possible to use with its online portal. We use it weekly to record team meetings and to capture bug reports on our customer support operations. The implementation with the 365 suite is seamless. The tool is easy to use due to its visual similarities to other tools such as Youtube or Vimeo.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

The worst part of Microsoft Stream is the lack of options to navigate, search, and catalog the videos. Unless you store the videos on a SharePoint site, it is difficult to keep track of them, which can be a problem on the implementation of retention policies. The lack of Customer Support portals is a great issue across Microsoft entreprise products.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Stream is helping us reporting bug reports, since we produce a screen recording, and then we upload the issue in Viva Engage community that solves the issue. We are also using it to record weekly meetings, so that our remote workers can play it later.

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream is a powerful tool that enables seamless video sharing and viewing, enhancing internal communication and knowledge sharing within organizations. It's user-friendly interfaces and advanced features, such as intelligent search and transcript generation, make it valuable for managing and accessing video content. With robust security measures, organizations can trust Microsoft Stream to protect their sensitive video data.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream's video playback quality can be inconsistent and prone to buffering issues, hindering the viewing experience.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having used Microsoft Stream for over three years, I have found it a reliable platform for sharing and managing video content within our organization. Its integration with other Microsoft tools and secure sharing options have facilitated effective communication and collaboration. However, occasional delays in video processing and limited customization options have been minor drawbacks in an otherwise satisfactory experience.

  ### 8. Great platform to share and view intra organization videos.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh V. | Assoc. Data Science Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

The best thing about Microsoft Stream is its ease of use when it comes to sharing your videos. I like how if you record meetings on Microsoft Teams, it automatically shares it on Stream. I also like how it automatically transcribes such videos uploaded on it.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream has some points to work on; if one has to create access to share the uploaded file with a team, it gets a bit tedious for new users. The time is taken for the video to be uploaded a bit long, and one has to spend it waiting for it to upload.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Stream helps in uploading, sharing and viewing videos internally in our organization, it helps in sharing internal training videos which can be accessed only by employees.

  ### 10. Review on MS Streams by an avid user

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yash S. | Head of Technology, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream is a video platform tailored for big businesses. It has several benefits including: being user-friendly and accessible to all employees regardless of technical ability, providing secure video storage and sharing options, integrating with other Microsoft products, utilizing AI for automatic transcription and captioning, promoting collaboration through comments and likes, offering analytics to track usage and engagement, and allowing mobile access for on-the-go video content access.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream is not perfect and has limitations that may not make it the best solution for everyone. Some of the downsides include being a paid service that may be too expensive for smaller organizations or those with limited budgets, limited customization options for branding and interface design, restricted third-party integrations, a learning curve for some users, the requirement for video content to be in a specific format, and the need for a stable and fast internet connection to function effectively, particularly for users in remote or low-bandwidth locations. The most significant limitation is that you cannot share your videos outside your organization.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Stream helps businesses solve several problems related to video content management and sharing. It provides a secure platform for storing and sharing videos, with options for password protection and content-level permissions. It also enables collaboration and communication through comments, likes, and shares, promoting a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within an organization. With AI-powered features such as automatic transcription and captioning, the platform makes video content more accessible to users with hearing impairments. Additionally, Microsoft Stream integrates with other Microsoft products like Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint, providing a seamless user experience. It also provides usage and engagement analytics to help organizations understand how their video content is being used and how they can improve it. Lastly, with mobile access, employees can access video content on-the-go, improving productivity and collaboration.

  ### 11. Easy Screen Recording & Sharing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

I love that Microsoft Stream is included in our Microsoft Suite for easy screen recording and sharing. Sometimes you need to make a video of your screen or audio to show someone how to do something and Stream makes it simple to do so.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Sometimes downloading the videos and the setting isn't as seamless as I would like, especially if it is a longer video. I suppose this is to be expected though, so isn't the largest issue.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Within our company, we can easily record and share videos with each other showing steps to do something, reviewing something, or anything else we need easily with just a couple of steps. I like how quickly I can create, download, and send video content through Stream.

Everything

  ### 14. Cloud video sharing platform for organizations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raj S. | Back End Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

The video can be broadcasted and shared with all the team members very easily. Since it is a cloud streaming platform, the videos do not take any local storage space. It integrates well with other Microsoft applications like Microsoft Teams and can be used to record and share the meetings conducted on Microfot Teams.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

The videos can be downloaded to view them offline but, the videos open only in Microsoft Stream and cannot be viewed without installing the application. It would be useful if there is an option to compress or reduce the size of a video for downloading it.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps in saving the meeting recordings which can be viewed later by someone who did not attend the meeting. Also, there is no concern for privacy because the videos can be accessed only by the team members within the organization.

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Florence B. | Community Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Because we are a Microsoft O365-based company, product and training content are secure. There is no need for company team members to use a password since it works with Azure Active Directory.

Videos can be divided into public and private channels and can be limited to specific teams. In addition, you can create quizzes around the video content.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

- It takes a long time for the videos to upload
- You cannot change the order of the videos in a channel by dragging and dropping them. You can only order by publish date, relevance, name, etc. It's super annoying if you're uploading content out of order.
- There aren't rich analytics. As an admin, you can see video views and upvotes, but you can't see where people stop watching in the middle of a video or the average view time. As we use Stream for employee training content, we also can't see who watched which video.
- There are almost no automations with Microsoft Stream with Power Automate or even Zapier. For instance, after a video is published, I would like to notify the company in Slack.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Our IT Director made us move the content from Vimeo to MS Stream. This was not my first choice at all. It does about 60% of what I need it to do.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Microsoft Stream to host all employee training content. This includes content about our product and tech stack. It's an intrinsic part of our new employee onboarding process.

For beginners, using this application can be a tedious task, as people who should get access to the content have to be added. It might take time to adjust to the environment.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use the application to upload multiple contents, which we use to train people efficiently. The content can be used numerous times and reduces the effort of creating the same content repeatedly.

As it is video sharing platform where we can directly search for the content which is time saver. similarly we can invide the coworkers where they can contribute themselves. Microsoft team is very good plat form for sharing the information but for the beginner require the acces of the stream and in the platform, there is alot to explore so the new user require proper guideness so that they can easily navigate the microsoft stream such as adding people/ adding the content which may be quite confusing for that. And it will take some time to understand the entire platform fully.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform is very useful as we can directly discover not only the videos but also the people or channel. and we can also sort the videos uploaded materieal. we can easily visit to videos/content uploaded by us or create the new data easily. **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream immediately allows you to upload videos, document and categorize them, and share them with your team members in the enterprise. Access is managed similar to any other Microsoft Office file like Word or Excel.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Creating group access and managing video channels is a little tedious. You may have to work with your IT to ensure you have the required authorizations. If I could add a list of viewers with access, I would be much happier.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Use Microsoft Stream to upload almost any video type. If you need to update the video later, having edited it, the replacement option is quick and easy.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main reason I migrated to Microsoft Stream is because of the simple and integrated tools such as AI-driven captions, format and density handling, as well as simple noise reduction.

  ### 26. A Social Video Community for Your Company or Team

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eber C. | Director de proyecto, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

It offers all the necessary elements for your team or company to interact with videos created inside your network. I also like the option to create channels connected to your team to be used across your SharePoint. Its integration with Microsoft Teams Meetings is useful. You can get your recordings uploaded right after the meeting ends with no effort.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

The interface can feel a bit outdated and dull. The editing options are not so good, so I find myself editing videos outside too often. On the other hand, the suggestions you receive might have no connection with your interests of roles, so I never pay attention to them.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Please make sure you set permissions before deploying it. Always use Channels to organize your videos.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create several training and meeting videos at many branches worldwide. So having them in a common place and interacting with them has proven to be very useful. Recording and archiving meetings is one of those problems that we solve with Stream. Now, we organize videos in channels and every team member access them regularly.

You give access for your team member so they can access the files. But your need to have authorization access.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Stream is excellent to upload business videos across your organization - I consider it the corporate "Youtube". You can control access and ignite streaming in seconds. Still, it can record a screen instead of having a dedicated application to do that.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Stream does not allow to set access preferences in a batch of videos at once - you need to do it one by one manually. Yet, it doesn't have an expiration option to set on the video - this could make it hard to comply with your company's privacy policy.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stream allows the whole company to have a private videos' repository with a simple research tool instead of having the files in Sharepoint.

  ### 32. An expensive product with powerful features.

Easy to use, YouTube-like interface. Powerful Microsoft ecosystem integrations.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

No way to share links outside the domain. Very expensive for large organizations.

We are using this product to store our video resources (training videos, webinars etc.) and also show them to our employees.

  ### 33. Microsoft Stream - an exciting corporate video hub

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kjetil S. | Technical Support Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

I like that it enables you to upload your videos, and later on, you can choose to share them with everyone or with specific people within your organization. I also like the audio transcription feature, which makes searching for content more manageable.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

There is nothing that I like about this application.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

If you need a tool to manage all your corporate videos for sharing and collaboration, then Microsoft Stream is best for you.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to share video tutorials, training, information drives, meeting recordings, etc... is being handled securely and effectively by Microsoft Stream. Having central storage of all corporate video materials makes them organized and always available when needed.

  ### 34. Great video platform for internal use, integrates well with other Microsoft products

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip D. | Director Of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

I like how it seamlessly integrates with other Microsoft products like Teams. It makes it easy and simple for our users to access and share content.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

I wish it came with more video editing tools; this would help to create better content directly in Stream and not having to rely on third-party video editing software.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Take a careful look at licensing, Stream is not included in some of the basic Office licenses. Your users will have to have the correct licensing to view and share content.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us create, share and control access to training videos for our company. Stream has helped make our onboarding process easier and our training sessions more effective.

  ### 35. Stream is easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christine K. | Documentation Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

It is really easy to find and watch your recorded meetings. It's all connected to your email address.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

It can be a challenge to share a meeting recording with someone who wasn't invited to the meeting originally.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So many! If I have to miss a meeting, I can watch it later. If I need to capture notes during a meeting, I can do so with pauses later. So cool!

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 38. Works fairly well, sharing permissions are awkward

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Records video well, quick automatic encoding so the video is available soon after your meeting. The link to the video is placed in context within Microsoft Teams so you can always find it either there or on the Stream web-app. The Trimming feature saved my butt once when I left the recording going way too long. I've never used the replace video feature, but that seems useful too.

I like that you can easily find your own videos in a central location instead of having to find the meeting first, and I like that sharing is straightforward there.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

No ability to request share permissions from admin. Currently, my company has sharing off. It would be nice to request one-off share-ability for certain videos, which an administrator could review and approve. Instead we have to download the video and upload to Vimeo.

The auto-caption service is greyed out, likely also a permissions thing by my company to save costs. It would also be nice to request this to be allowed on a per-video basis.

Would be nice to have a small amount of other editing features, such as audio gain and brightness/contrast.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Consider giving your users share permissions.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We record internal and external training. We recording client feedback sessions to have more context than simple notes, especially if later we have differing recollections of the client's true intent. We record any internal meeting which are required viewing for new employees. We record HR meetings which require both confidentiality and documentation.

  ### 39. Best organisational video sharing service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

It's feature to store, secure and share your videos.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

MS removed the direct upload of ms teams recordings to stream.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Yes go for it. It comes with o365 subscription

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For video sharing specially for traings and knowledge. To store videos of employees within my organization.

  ### 40. great for sharing videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

being able to share recordings from teams meetings

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

the size of files when you download them, it would be useful if these could be compressed somehow

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing recorded meetings with those who couldn't attend the meeting.

  ### 41. Best for remote training videos

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

I use Microsoft Stream to create training videos for remote employees. It is EXTREMELY easy to record your screen and talk through the steps using a headset. It is also very intuitive. I was able to set up, record, and share my video in minutes without ever watching a video tutorial. I also like the ability to create channels to invite only employees relevant to the training. I can manage their access and remove them afterwards or add new people as necessary. There is a share feature that is seamless within Microsoft Teams and allows team members to view the videos without going to a separate system.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

There is very little to dislike. Stream took all of the needs for video creation and sharing and married it with MS Teams. Setting up a private group was a little bit complicated, but after doing it once, it will be easy in the future. I probably would have been faster if I looked up a How-to, but I wanted to figure it out on my own. There are plenty of built-in tutorials that anyone should be able to figure it out.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Do at least one or two practice videos so that you understand how to share them and how to grant access.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can honestly say that having discovered Microsoft Stream solved my training issues. We are 100% remote and short handed. It is nearly impossible to schedule training sessions with more than 1 person at a time. This feature has given me the ability to provide asynchronous training to the whole team and as an added bonus becomes a backup reference when people have questions. They can review the video as many times as needed to feel comfortable with the process.

  ### 42. Come a long way but still farther to go

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon L. | Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

I like the ability to create channels and share videos across channels.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

The fact that Microsoft has still not implemented a way to share videos outside of your organization really bottlenecks what you are able to do. This is in my eyes the number one pain point.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have created an internal company training portal using our stream library and it's been great to have all of our video content in one place!

  ### 43. Your secure company YouTube like video library

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan H. | Licensee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

It's secure and works well with the entire M365 suite and does as expected

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

There is a small learning curve for people that don't understand that the login details for Stream are your M365 login details but other than that its great

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Training videos, secure videos, automatically saved live events from Teams

  ### 44. One of the best place for video sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shadikur Rahman S. | Digital Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

One of the best options is to merge with other Microsoft applications such as Teams, SharePoint, and others. Once you have completed the video at the request of the group, the broadcast can still be updated or shared with others whether or not you need an offline file. This connection has helped me for a long time in my career, making it easy to record video conferences to add and watch whenever you need it. This will help others who have not been willing to attend a meeting or event, which has been saved by the meeting. Very painful to use. When I put something in the Teams, I just write it down and then share it. Video sharing is very easy to navigate and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

It may be that you can download the file for offline use but you only need to play it in streaming mode. Cannot access other media applications for them to play. Of course, they can do some development by integrating YouTube and other social sites, but you can do whatever you want

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

"Microsoft Stream" is a great way to get started.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of paying for a separate platform to host IDI, we can use it in conjunction with Commands Stream to record and save these conversations. That way, we don't have to pay extra to the seller when we use the tools that are already available.

  ### 45. The One of its kind as best video sharer and recorder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niwrutti S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

The one of the best part is the integration with other applications of Microsoft like teams, SharePoint etc. Once you are done with a video recording at the teams app, it will be immediately available on stream to play or share it with others or even if you want an offline file. This integration helps me a lots of time in my work and made it easy to record video conferences which includes presentation and watch it whenever you want. This also help others who missed to attend any meeting or conference, we have the meeting saved in stream.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

May be its the fact that you can download the file to use offline but you have to play inside the stream app only. It can't be accessible for other media application to play through them.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

If you want security and wanted to save your conference and meeting logs this is the best application.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, it's a life saver for those who missed the meetings or conferences due some reasons but no issues we have the recording of the whole meeting or conference even after so many years to present to you. Also, you need not to worry about privacy of the conference because it can only be accessed with stream application.

  ### 46. Microsoft streams - a tool for the future

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Acts as an organisations ‘s internal video gallery, helpful for training’s and meeting recordings.. we often upload training sessions for all the employees to watch and learn

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Versioning is not available as in share point .. trimmed part of the video can not be recovered ..requires license

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Go for it.. it might be implemented with ODB in future too

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Training employees... meeting recordings ... sharing content .. knowledge data base.. streaming events

  ### 47. Something you didn't know would be useful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

It saves recordings, it essentially acts as a homepage for all things that have been shared with you.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

A little difficult to navigate too, otherwise good.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had an issue when running a qualitative study that if using the same Teams link all respondents will gain access to all the recordings in the stream. However we found a workaround for this, so each recordings are only visible to those who should have seen it.

  ### 48. One of the easiest video sharing platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie H. | Public Relations (PR) Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

It is very easy to use. When I record something on Teams, it automatically records, and than, I can share without having any problems.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

Well, at this moment, I don't have anything. Probably, they can do some developments with the integration of YouTube and other social sites, but what you need, you can do with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Like with other Microsoft services, you have to think about SOLUTIONs, not individual usage. Which means, without having all the O365 applications, it is difficult to understand, why to use this. I would recommend to buy the O365, if I rightly know, Stream is part of the subscription. (the basic one). First, you have to try to record content, or confcalls from Teams.
But if you wish, you can do online press conference or whatever you want. Our largest project was organizing press conference for 100 journalists.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recording Teams calls, recording online education content for employees. Also calls from partners.

  ### 49. A dynamic and modern video platform for enterprises

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subhendu M. | Subhendu, Civil Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

Microsoft Stream is a dynamic video platform for enterprises with all the modern features. The automatic face recognition in the video and timelining it automatically is groundbreaking. Automated transcription of the contents and translation of the transcription in multiple languages is something which makes different from other video platforms.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

The additional add-on licence system for the attractive features is not acceptable as it increases cost and licence management overhead. The feature sets also vary between different Office 365 subscriptions.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer need to use YouTube for external video and Office 365 Videos for internal videos, both of which was old-school, an administration, control and compliance nightmare. Now employees can use a modern video platform to showcase work progress, create and publish tutorial videos, etc. Group communication department organises worldwide townhall sessions with live streaming video with Q&A. Marketing uses it for webinars for sales engagement etc.

  ### 50. Is Microsoft Stream the YouTube for businesses?

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iqbal A. | Content Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Microsoft Stream?**

The best things about Microsoft Stream is the integration with other Microsoft applications such as SharePoint and Teams.

**What do you dislike about Microsoft Stream?**

What I dislikebthe most is that there is no unlisted video feature like YouTube. Sometimes we have videos that need to be accessed by several different people, so would like a middle ground between public and private video space.

**Recommendations to others considering Microsoft Stream:**

Very good for adding videos that the business can access, not open to public and you can easily embed on to other Microsoft applications.

**What problems is Microsoft Stream solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Stream allows us to display our sensitive videos in a secure environment.
