Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Web on Windows Server 2016 Reviews & Product Details

What I like most about Microsoft SQL Server is its cost-effectiveness in supporting web-based applications and hosting scenarios. SQL Server 2016 Web Edition supports scalability, allowing businesses to scale their web applications as needed. This is crucial for accommodating growth and increasing demand without facing significant limitations. SQL Server 2016, including the Web Edition, incorporates robust security features to protect data integrity and confidentiality. This includes encryption, access controls, and auditing capabilities. Depending on the scale and complexity of your web applications, SQL Server 2016 Web Edition may be resource-intensive. Businesses with high transaction volumes or complex queries may need to carefully manage server resources to ensure optimal performance. The Web Edition lacks certain enterprise-level features that are available in editions like SQL Server Standard or Enterprise. Organizations with advanced requirements may find themselves needing features that are not present in the Web Edition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like best about Microsoft SQL Server 2016 is its performance on OLTP queries. This version is stable and there is a significant improvement in in-memory queries. Also, SQL Server 2016's Stretch Database feature serves as a true link between your on-premises solution and your data in the Azure cloud. If your business goals allow it, you can offload database administration and management to the cloud with Azure SQL Database or SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines. What I least like about it is its price. The software is not suitable for small businesses because it is more expensive as compared to the other ones. However, the cost is worth it. Microsoft SQL Server 2016 doesn't support Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
