"Easy-to-Navigate Portal, minor improvements needed (follow-up)"
4/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I don’t use Medrio as regularly as I did in the past, but I’ve always appreciated how easy and straightforward it is to navigate the portal and case report forms. I also like the CRF design and the availability of TEST and other non-Production environments, since they let you verify updates to the study build and forms before moving anything into Production. I’ve used this product for a number of years at a few different companies and across various studies, and I haven’t run into any major issues. Another positive is that Medrio seems to be committed to improving the product and occasionally asks for feedback—for example, I’m aware of, and like the idea of, the AI features they were trying to implement. What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

In the past, I occasionally ran into “timeout issues,” which hindered my ability to navigate after logging in which was frustrating because I needed to review data points at a critical juncture in the study. I haven’t experienced that problem recently, but I also haven’t used Medrio as frequently or as extensively as I did before, so it’s hard to say whether the issue has been fully resolved over time. Dashboards could also use improvement - although the system is designed to pull numbers based on the inputs provided, it sometimes doesn’t reflect or present certain metrics in a suitable manner that is more fitting for a teams specific needs which can sometimes makes it difficult to be fully reliable. Browse Data & Data Export filter options need some work - when updates were made for a study, the dataset outputs that were updated with a large no. of patients generated formats that are not ideal - resulting in me sorting and doing a lot of extraneous tasks to clean up the issues. "Simple UI Makes Form Building and Study Setup Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I like the simplicity of the user interface and how easy it is to develop a form and get a study started. Learning the software from the provided meetings with onboarding helped immensely too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

My least favorite things about Medrio is the performance of the form development, taking time and resetting the form preview every time a change is made to an element. Some additional quality of life features for form development, such as being able to set formatting settings for all form questions at once rather than having to edit each individually. "Highly Usable Interface with Minimal Training Needed"
4/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

The best thing about Medrio EDC is useability. The system's relatively basis interface allows first-time and returning users to navigate the system easily and to pull relevant metrics quickly without jumping through a lot of hoops that other systems may require. I also appreciate the minimal training requirements for site personnel to get access to the database allowing them to train on what we deem to be most important instead of completing many trainings on non-relevant features. What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I generally do not dislike anything about Medrio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unexpected Time-Saving Tricks and an Easy EDC Build"
4/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

There's a lot of useful 'tricks' in the system that I hadn't expected that will really make day-to-day tasks much easier. The making of the EDC has been an easy process and the team has made this experience 10x easier for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I haven't used the EDC much, but so far I haven't found anything that I haven't liked. There have been many solutions that Medrio have been able to accommodate, I don't think we've run into anything we couldn't do yet. Just a few things to adjust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, User-Friendly, and Well-Supported EDC Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I really appreciate Medrio EDC for offering a fast and easy-to-use software to enter CRF data in real time. I also enjoy the support staff and the reporting features. The database configuration is simple and easy to use, which is vital for my work. I enjoy the simplicity and functionality of the Medrio EDC system. I also value Laurin Willetts' support and empathy as our Medrio partner for the past 8+ years. After trying out other competitors, Medrio was the easiest and quickest to configure a study, and the initial setup was extremely easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

There were several features we identified that could be helpful a long time ago. These features have still not been employed. An email confirmation whenever data has been entered or changed within the system would be nice to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Reliable EDC Partner for Accelerating CRO-Led Study Startup"
5/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

From a CRO perspective, Medrio EDC stands out for its ease of use/implementation and ability to support rapid study startup. Database build, UAT, and go-live are efficient and predictable, allowing studies to activate quickly without unnecessary rework. The platform is intuitive for both CRO teams and sites, reducing training burden and enabling frequent, day-to-day use for data review, query management, and study oversight. Medrio also integrates well with other clinical systems, which helps maintain streamlined workflows across the clinical technology ecosystem. Equally important, Medrio’s support and project teams function as true partners, helping CROs meet aggressive timelines while maintaining data quality and compliance. What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

For highly complex protocols or more advanced reporting needs, some configurations may require extra planning or involvement from support. Even so, Medrio’s team is collaborative and solutions-oriented, and these situations are usually worked through without affecting startup timelines or overall study delivery. "Efficient Data Management with Intuitive Interface"
4/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I love Medrio EDC for its intuitive, user-friendly interface that makes data entry and study management much simpler. The flexibility in eCRF designing, edit check programming, and efficient query handling significantly improves data quality. The quick study setup process and responsive support are also major advantages. I find its intuitive interface particularly valuable as it reduces training time and minimizes data entry errors. Its flexible eCRF design allows efficient study builds with logical structures, while the edit check programming validates data in real-time, highlighting discrepancies early on. The straightforward query handling process fosters clear communication, enhancing the overall workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

While Medrio EDC is effective overall, advanced edit check programming and reporting capabilities could be more flexible. Data Visualization options are limited, often requiring exports for deeper analysis. Some administrative and bulk actions, such as mass updates or query creation, could be more streamlined to improve efficiency, especially for larger studies. "Challenging Setup Despite Promised Integrations"
3/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I like the fact that the test environment is separate from the production environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

Medrio EDC is very difficult to configure and the layout and views are a bit old, making the study look aged. It requires a lot of unnecessary justification of change from the hospital at each field they modify instead of a single verification during the saving of the form. It doesn't save the forms automatically and we often lose data. Also, they promised it would integrate with our CTMS, but that never worked. The initial setup was difficult, and we had to hire a new person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rebecca Jones of Medrio EDC

Thank you for sharing your feedback! While we’re glad the isolated test environment works well, we take full ownership of where the platform has felt burdensome. We’ve brought your feedback to our product team to explore ways to improve.

To keep your audit trail secure and prevent accidental overwrites, forms currently require a manual save to log exact user accountability. That said, we hear you loud and clear on how this can cause accidental data loss, which is never acceptable.

If you continue to have issues in the future, please email support@medrio.com so we can help.

"Efficient Data Access, But Needs Performance Boost"
4/5
What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

I use Medrio EDC for my studies to access project-related data, and I find it very user-friendly. I appreciate how easily I can pull out required reports, like the Query Detail report, with just a few clicks, unlike other EDC systems that consume more time. The system also generates automatic queries which help me correct data efficiently. The ease of access is a standout feature for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

Sometimes the Medrio EDC is a bit slow while use even after having good internet connection which can be improved. Sometimes Medrio EDC takes time to login and also sometimes when pulling reports make take time to download. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
