The user interface is relatively easy to navigate as a beginner, and you can choose to upgrade to the Pro or use the Gratis version. Standard shapes and functions can be added to the map and stored as data in excel, SQL, CSV files, and more. The page view helps navigate printing large-size renderings for those of us who have challenges with spatial visualization. Users can begin the process in various methods - with existing photography, imported data, or a scan of a paper map. The final map may consist of multiple layers of files. Mapmaking without existing data can be difficult due to the application's limited capacity. Furthermore, although its application is simple, it is not available on mobile. The live layer of the final map can be accessed through Map Maker or compatible applications. With most government companies using ArcGIS, this limits project continuity for files put together with map maker.
