MakeSWMS Reviews & Product Details

MakeSWMS is a document generation platform that creates Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for Australian construction workers and tradies in minutes. Australian law requires SWMS documents for 19 categories of high-risk construction work. Non-compliance carries penalties up to $50,000 for individuals. Most tradies either struggle with blank Word templates, pay safety consultants $500+ per document, or use generic templates that don't match their actual work. MakeSWMS solves this with trade-specific templates pre-filled with researched hazards, control measures, PPE requirements, and regulatory references. Users select their trade, enter site details, and generate a compliant PDF ready for use on site. Key features: - 50+ trade-specific templates covering electrical, roofing, excavation, scaffolding, plumbing, solar installation, concreting, and more - Pre-populated hazard registers with risk assessments following the hierarchy of controls PPE requirements with Australian Standards references (AS/NZS) - State-specific regulatory guidance for NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, NT, and ACT - PDF and Word export formats - SWMS compliance checker tool - "Do I Need a SWMS?" decision tool Built for tradies: The interface is designed for people who work with their hands, not paperwork. No safety qualification required. Answer simple questions about your job, review the pre-filled content, and download your document. MakeSWMS bridges the gap between expensive safety consultants and inadequate generic templates, giving independent contractors and small construction businesses access to professional-grade compliance documentation.
