## About MailCull
MailCull is an email verification service built for people who send real email and get blamed when a list bounces. We started it because every email validator we tried as customers gave back a one-word verdict, "valid" or "invalid," and refused to explain it. When an address we paid to verify still hard-bounced, we had nothing to show for it. So we built the tool we wished existed: one where every check is a line item, every line item is in plain English, and every verdict comes with a receipt. That receipt is the difference. For every address, MailCull returns one of four clear states, deliverable, risky, undeliverable, or unknown, along with the evidence behind it: the actual SMTP reply from the receiving server, the MX record, the reason codes, and a confidence score. A deliverable is one you can defend to a client. A risky tells you why it is risky, usually a catch-all or accept-all domain, instead of quietly marking it valid and letting it bounce at send time. You can verify a full list by uploading a CSV, or check a single address on the spot. Deep scan probes mailboxes at the SMTP level for a sharper verdict, and it is included on the free plan rather than locked behind an upgrade. An AI Analyst reads the evidence for any result and explains the conclusion in a sentence, so you do not need a deliverability background to act on it. We measure real-world accuracy honestly, in the 91 to 93 percent range, and we publish the methodology rather than claiming a round 99 percent. Pricing is deliberately simple: one flat price, a unified monthly credit pool, no per-pack math, no surprise overages, and no charge for unknowns. There is a developer API and a first-party MCP server, so verification fits into your own app or into AI tools like Claude and Cursor. MailCull is small, opinionated, and focused on one job: helping you send to addresses that actually exist, and showing you the proof.
