It's the best application in the market for integration of existing database engine with Hadoop and helps in processing the large data marts easily. **What problems is Mahout solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am using manhout to create machine learning algorithms. Along with it I am using the application for various machine learning techniques such as - recommendation, classification and clustering. ### 3. I've basically used it for a comparison analysis between Sparks MLib and Mahout. Mahout is more for a statistician and depends on the use case. **What do you dislike about Mahout?** The compute time is relatively slow when compared to other similar frameworks like Mlib and tenserflow. Also, there's no enterprise support as such and it's purely an open source framework with limited online knowledge repository. **Recommendations to others considering Mahout:** I would recommend to do a comparative analysis first before finalizing this product. The main concern is lack of enterprise support **What problems is Mahout solving and how is that benefiting you?** Comparative analysis between different framework. Very assisting for engineers, mathematicians for working on their hypothesis. Helps in deploying large scale learning algorithms with short codes by this software. Also available in the models of ML that can assist to test and verify your data for usage. **What do you dislike about Mahout?** I have found no issue while using it. So I like it. **Recommendations to others considering Mahout:** I have used mahout for ML algorithms and processing and I have found it very useful. Its a time saver so I recommend it to all. **What problems is Mahout solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is great doe data processing and mining. Processes large amount of data in less time thus time saving. Features are very easy to understand so it is user friendly. ### 6. I can also do linear correlation along with autocorrelation in Mahout to find out discrepancies in our financial data. **What do you dislike about Mahout?** I cant think of downsides for Mahout at all. It's a good tool. **What problems is Mahout solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mahout is solving the issue of data consistency in our financial work. I can use it to easily run correlations with our financial data in less time and hire less people. ### 7. This tool generates a .csv file that includes the work item ID, summary, description, and comments with double quotes for a set of 500 sample tasks and change requests. The next step in preparing the input data is to create a Hadoop sequence file with a set of key and value pairs, one pair for each change request. The key is the ID of the work item and the value is the concatenation of the summary, description and comment attributes. ### 8. It supports working on big data using Map Reduce, and has GPU enabled acceleration too. **What do you dislike about Mahout?** Although mainly based on Scala and it supports Python, I would have been more happy if majority of the things could have been done in Python as it is one of the most popular language. **What problems is Mahout solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are working on large scale traffic data and analyzing them to find out traffic pattern and anomalies. We are using Mahout for building models on our traffic data. ### 9.
