I like the clean editor and the fact that the tools are positioned where I expect them to be, so I can move from designing to animation without the complexity of a traditional video application. Importing assets from Figma or After Effects is also useful, while the real-time collaboration makes reviewing and iterating on animations with other team members much faster. The lightweight exports are another strong point because the final animations can be used across web and mobile products without unnecessarily large files. **What do you dislike about Lottielab?** Lottielab has a focused workflow, but that focus can also mean that some advanced motion-design capabilities feel more limited compared with a full application such as After Effects. I can design an animation, export it as json and drop it straight into my code projects with zero hassie. I liked the most is the we can use it withour paying any penny. **What do you dislike about Lottielab?** The worst part is that it lacks some advanced vector editing tools found in heavy software like Illustrator meaning you sometimes have to create your base shapes elsewhere before animating. **What problems is Lottielab solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lottielab helps me create custom animated vector illustrations without dealing with heavy video files. The traditional animation tools like After Effects have a steep learning curve, but this platform makes creating UI animations much more accessible, and we can also import designs from Figma and animate them directly in the browser and export lightweight files which work across the web and mobile platforms. Their UI interface is also clean, intuitive and responsive as well. Features like real-time collaboration and comments, along with shared libraries and optimising efforts, make it very practical for teams rather than just individual designs. I also like how quickly it handles existing files when I need to make small edits without even rebuilding the animations right from scratch. Overall, this platform helped us speed up the design-to-development workflow pretty much easier. **What do you dislike about Lottielab?** Though this platform is focused specifically on animations, it isn't a replacement for full-featured motion graphic software if we are creating highly cinematic or even complex animations. Some of their advanced animation capabilities available in professional desktop tools are naturally more limited. And their free plan is also good for getting started, but many of the collaboration and hosting and other explored features are hidden behind the pro plan. I would also like to see even more animation templates and pre built assets for faster prototyping. **What problems is Lottielab solving and how is that benefiting you?** This platform simplifies the process of creating and maintaining lightweight animation for digital products, and instead of relying on multiple tools or asking motion designers to make every small animation change, write some quick updates of icons to onboarding animations and loading states as well. Their UI interaction directly inside the browser is a top notch, and since the exported Pfizer optimised and are very much lightweight, their developers can easily integrate them into our website and mobile application while would cross only.
