LegalOn has been a much needed tool in our small inhouse legal team, providing us the resources to adequately review and process contracts in a timely fashion. When I was shopping for different CLMs to utilize, LegalOn stood out to me with its easy to use system. It integrates cleanly into Microsoft Word, really not needing any additional knowledge of software as to utilize the system, with a very developed AI system that easily flags down clauses to change and those that are not in compliance with common contract standards or our own standards. My main reason for choosing LegalOn is mostly due to the robust translation system utilizing DeepL to provide the most grammatically accurate and natural sounding translation in many various languages. As a multinational company dealing with clients all across the world, this was a necessary feature I was looking for and LegalOn truly does this best. LegalOn is also very proactive and provides attorneys who work with you closely to help set up and revise your playbooks. LegalOn is indispensable to my everyday work. LegalOn's newly updated platforms has made it difficult to access the old translation options to view the original text and edit off of that. This is already been noted by the LegalOn customer success team and they have informed me they are working on this already. There really is not much to dislike about LegalOn as they are extremely efficient and cooperative, constantly checking in and providing extremely timely help. So far, I haven't encountered any major issues. My only critique is the lack of communication about their platform upgrade. Perhaps this was due to my being new to the product, but I found the process quite confusing at first. However, after an email exchange and a brief five-minute phone call, all my questions were resolved. I trust LegalOn's AI model and appreciate that they're always improving the base product as technology evolves. I like that they have inhouse attorneys writing and reviewing content for the AI software, which makes a big difference since our Compliance Director oversees contract reviews and is not an attorney. Implementation was straightforward, allowing us to start using the platform quickly. After launching, we even got to schedule time with an inhouse attorney to fine-tune our processes. The customer support is also very responsive and always available when we need it. They've upgraded the platform several times in less than a year, and most of the new features were automatically included in our base plan, sparing us from higher subscription fees. Most of the time, a customer contract is comprised of more than one document, but there currently is not a way to have the AI reference more than one document. Also, I'd like to have a way for the AI to determine if a customer's contract documents conflict with our original proposal's terms. What I liked most about LegalOn was its focus on legal-specific use cases rather than generic document AI. The platform is clearly designed around how attorneys think about lease review, issue spotting, and risk identification, and the team’s responsiveness and professionalism during onboarding stood out. One limitation I noticed during evaluation was that the platform could struggle with heavily customized or non-standard lease formats. LegalOn has become my second set of eyes, helping me review contracts faster, flag risks with surgical accuracy, and maintain consistency across a high volume of agreements.

What sets LegalOn apart is how seamlessly it fits into my workflow. I can email documents directly into the platform using my custom link, instantly create matters, and manage revisions without ever leaving Word. The Word add-in is especially powerful—it allows me to save updated drafts straight into the matter management system, keeping everything organized and audit-ready.

One limitation I’ve run into is the inability to merge multiple emailed documents into a single matter. I often receive related files in separate threads or batches, and having to manually consolidate them slows down what should be a streamlined intake process. I love the AI assist tool, redlines based on your own playbooks and standard contract types that LegalOn provides. I work with all sorts of contracts and we are a team of two. We outsource legal services and using LegalOn helps us cut down on the time our legal bills by ensuring our agreements have the core components we expect and that we have done the full comprehensive review before a final sign off by legal. It saves time in the review and redlining process and has helped ensure nothing gets slipped in or left out accidently. I love it and would not know how to work without it now that I have it! The implementation is as easy as getting a log in and getting started. Once you get the hang of the Word widget it is awesome. The support and training I got when I onboarded was excellent and they have been available for any additional needs and have proactively reached out to check in on us and tell us about new features since we launched. I use this tool almost daily and have built it into my workflow with my team members. I highly recommend LegalOn for big and small teams in all industries. It gives non-legal contracting staff the confidence to make redlines and move contract negotiations forward without significant delays due to legal review and allows better use of legal staff time to focus on the legally complex and high-risk contract issues. We are a small organization and the number of contracts we manage is small enough that a full CLM isn't a good use of resources. If LegalOn could build out their file system a bit more, it would be an excellent place to track the historical revisions and final copies of contracts.
