Being able to use Groovy for more complex calculations, along with the REST API for custom integrations with our Java backend, lets us tailor the LIMS to very specific laboratory workflows. Overall, it’s a powerful platform for developers who need to bridge the gap between standard LIMS functionality and custom automation. **What do you dislike about LabVantage?** While the platform is powerful, debugging Groovy scripts and custom Java code can be cumbersome. The repeated cycle of deploying changes and then testing them inside the LIMS environment often feels slower than what I’m used to in modern web development workflows, and that can reduce development velocity when working on more complex customizations. **What problems is LabVantage solving and how is that benefiting you?** Many labs struggle with manual data entry from Excel or other fragmented systems, which can lead to higher error rates and increased compliance risk. It has the ability for you to pull all the data from the application to use to do a data review which is very convenient. **What do you dislike about LabVantage?** It is quite confusing when getting started on using it. It took more than an hour training and just hands on learning to really understand how to use it partially. **What problems is LabVantage solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm inputting data from patient sample collections for a research project. It's helping record all the data digitally and in a way it's easier for the PI to review. ### 4. Results are easy for groups to see and they're always accessible. If I need to find a sample owned by more regular users, it is very quick. **What do you dislike about LabVantage?** I haven't had too many problems. Mostly struggled to log in at the beginning. Now it's easy enough but new tasks require learning before it's I'm comfortable to perform them **What problems is LabVantage solving and how is that benefiting you?** I often use the system to submit requests to other teams. If I need a test done that is outside my scope, I just click a few times, print a label, and send over samples. Results are easy enough to find when it's done too. ### 5. There is no chance of losing track of materials when used as intended. **What do you dislike about LabVantage?** There is a slight learning curve, and infrequent users can be frustrated sometimes. Some people have trouble with login occasionally but again, that is more common with less regular users. **What problems is LabVantage solving and how is that benefiting you?** Overall better bookkeeping than we could've had without this platform. It makes it easy to provide information if any inquiry arises. In the end, writeups are easy when records are as good as this system allows. ### 6. I have done several projects with them and each time has been above average in helping to achieve the business aims. I like that they inject their opinion on the best way to go using experience from their brand customer base, but in the end support what ever our objectives are. **What do you dislike about LabVantage?** The upgrade path from test to production isn't the best. **Recommendations to others considering LabVantage:** Certainly a contender in any large scale pharma implementation, with some gains in matching R&D to manufacturing (QC) data models. **What problems is LabVantage solving and how is that benefiting you?** Attempts to create a "green stream" automated approval path was not successful, but otherwise we solved more than 200 bugs/enhancements in an agile way beyond the MVP with their help. I large scale multisite solution was achieved, with a technological currency built in to the ongoing support model ### 7. Also it is great that it shows the progress of tests. **What do you dislike about LabVantage?** The lack of organizational options. Also more search option would be nice as well. Many times I try to find certain historical samples based on criteria that you cannot search for. The most common is a method when the product code is not available. If there were custom search criteria that businesses could utilize would make LabVantage even better for ease of use and quickness. **Recommendations to others considering LabVantage:** It works great and is only getting better. **What problems is LabVantage solving and how is that benefiting you?** The best impact that LabVantage has with my work is that it allows for a very streamlined mode of data communication between QC and manufacturing. ### 16.
